Activities
Provides hot freshly cooked 3 course meals to homeless and vulnerable people at two weekly drop in sessions. The sessions cater for between 50 to 150 people. We also provide practical advice on where to find emergency accommodation and work with outreach and health services. We also run a gardening project that involves services users in growing the vegetables that contribute to the meals.
Objects: (1) To Promote Any Charitable Purposes For The Benefit Of The Community In The London Boroughs Of Hackney, Haringey And Islington (The "Area Of Benefit") And Inparticular The Advancement Of Education, The Protection Of Health And The Relief Ofpoverty, Distress And Sickness And To Promote And Organise Related Co-Purposes(2) To Promote And Organise Co-Operation In The Achievement Of These Purposes,especially With A View To The Relief Of Homelessness, The Provision Of Assistance To Thehomeless And To The Bringing Together Of Representatives Of The Voluntaryorganisations And The Statutory Authorities Within The Area Of Benefit To Help Achievethe Purposes(3) In Furtherance Of The Above Purposes(a) Establish And Support ,Or Aid In The Establishment Or Support, Of Anycharitable Associations, Housing Associations Or Institutions And Subscribe Orguarantee Money For Charitable Purposes In Any Way Which Would Furtherthese Purposes(b) Establish Projects To Relieve Homelessness And Its Effects And To Work Forreduction Of The Homelessness.(c) Raise Funds And Invite, Or Receive, Contributions By Way Of Subscription,donation And Otherwise Provided That No Permanent Trading Activities Areundertaken In Raising Funds For The Primary Charitable Purpose(d) Collect And Disseminate Information On All Matters Affecting These Purposesand Establish, Print, Publish, Issue And Circulate Such Papers, Journals,magazines, Books, Periodicals And Publications As Shall Be Necessary Toattain These Purposes Or Are In Any Way Beneficial To The Achievement Ofthese Purpose(e) Provide Or Assist In The Provision Of Exhibitions, Meetings, Lectures Andclassespromote, Encourage And Undertake Experimental Work(g) Do All Such Lawful Things As Shall Further These Purposes.
