The Tru51ees present their annual report and the financial slatement5 of the Charitsble Settlement
for the year ended 5 April 2025. The Trustees cA)nfirm that Ihe annual report and finanual
statements of The Preston Famity Charitsble Setuement comply wrth the current statuiory
requirements, the requirements of the Trusfs goveming document and the provisions of the
Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts with the
Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland published IFRS 1021
(effective 1 January 20191 as amendeil by Update Bullebn 1 leffe¢b"ve 1 January 20191.
ObJ•ctlv•s and actlvltlès
The charity's objects are to support charitable cause5 by the making of grants.
Requests for grants and donations are reveiwed by the trustees on an individual basis. The
trustees consider the merits of each request and invest mainly in local charities. wth particular
emphasis on young people. healih and social care.
Each year the trustees review the objectives and actiwbes of the charty to ensure they continue to
reflect the charity's aims and to provide a public benefit. The trustees are more than satisfied that
they do.
The trustees have paid due regard to guidance isSL￿d by the Charity Commission in deciding what
activities the tharity Should undertake.

The Charty made £352,370 of grants and donations to charitable causes during the year in line
th its charitable objectives.
Flnanclal Revbew
The re$ults lor the year ended S April 2025 are set out in the Slalemenl of Finanoal A￿1V(Cle9 on
page S. The trustees confimi that the charitys assets are available and adequate to fulfil its
obligations as they fall due.
Reserrfes policy
It 1$ thè policy of the charity to maximise unrestrided lunds. are free reserves of thè ¢harity,
to ensure that suffiaent funds are available to cover grants and donations payable, and
management and administration costs for the forseeable future. Free reserves at the year end

Rlsk policy
The trustees have examined the operational and bUs1r￿SS risks to which the charity is exposed,
and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks.
Future plans
The trustees are aware that the need for aid seems never ending and they plan to continue doing
what they can to assist. However, they realise that they must use the resources they have wisely.
They therefore intend to conlinue their approach of fvnding a mix of local charrtable institutions.
