To advan￿ the Christian faith in accordance with the Staternent of beliets in our schedule in Mozambique and in other parts of the world as the trustees may from time-to-time think fit and to fulf51 such other purposes which are exclusively charitable according to the law of England and Wales and are connected with the charitable work of the trust. 2. Relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods, or services of any kind in Mozambique and in such other parts of the world as the trustees from time to time may think fit. CHARIS Achievements and erformance We thank God for all that has been achieved this year through the partnership of Charis teams and supporters in the UK, Mozambique, and Ethiopia. The focus has continued to be transforming lives and communities by God's practical love and compassion in action amongst the poorest of the poor and the preaching and teaching of God's Word among the poorly resourced. 2023-24 was a challenging year at times with regard to needs outstripping available funds, but when we look back, we are amazed at God's faithful provision, which made every act of kindness possible. Mozambique Crisls Help - Mozambique continues to be vulnerable to cyclones and tropical storms which can bring devastation to the most vulnerable and it has been our privilege to provide much needed help to some who have suffered loss and damage of their homes this year in cyclones Freddy and Filipe in Vilanculos and Bandua. 34 houses were built + 10+ repaired. Families in Need - Charis has reached out to many elderly and orphans this year with food kits and provision of seeds and tools to 50 individuals for small farms. 16 Schoolkids were equipped with school uniforms and equipment. Mlcro-buslness loans and grants - 13 people received either loans or grants to start up small businesses. In Bandua a team member received a loan to start rearing cows and another established a large farm for planting corn and sesame seeds. Another lady received a grant to establish a bread making micro business in her village. Bible Training - In November a partner mission organisation Provisao came to train 9 local leaders from 6 churches in community bible training and in December Tearfund came to our Centre in Vilanculos to so some initial community bible and development training to 12 local leaders from 8 different churches. In March 2024 Aglow leaders from Maputo came to train local leaders in prayer and unity. Our Charis Team have made regular visits to local villages around Vilanculos encouraging them with bible teaching and prayer. Kids Club- 250 kids in and around Vilanculos have been blessed with regular Kids Clubs bringing God's word alive with fun, games and worship. Bandua outreach - In June the team spent 2 weeks in Bandua building 10 homes and providing 200+ kids with fun, food and fellowship at kids Clubs on the move. Bandua remains an area of key focus, where our satellite team continues to assess and communicate serious needs to us for prayer and practical help when funds allow. Mel & Mandy Mission - Mel and Mandy were able to visit Mozambique twi￿ this year- Ma -June and October-November 2023. Their focus was team encouragement through fellowship, prayer and bible training,. overseeing of Charis. various projects and ministries- visiting people and villages helped, as well as friends and partners and providing practical medical help and preaching in various villages and churches. Life Centre- The Life Centre wall, and water tower were completed this year.

In Vilanculos the (Charis) Life Centre will be built and established as a light in the community and a hub of God's missional transfomiing presen￿. where many of the younger generation, in particular, will grow in their knowledge and experience of who God is - Father, Son and Holy Spirit and go out to love and serve the Lord with whole-hearted passion and live lives of integrity in their communities. In 2025 God will begin to send bible teachers and encouragers from all over the world to come and train and share their anointing. Ethiopia Our prayer: That God will provide for us abundantly so that we can reach out to many more displaced younger orphans and vulnerable older people who have no one to care for them. That God will grant us insight and forward vision as we meet together with Elizabeth in Adis Ababa in May 2024. UK Our Prayer.. God will open up more doors for us to share Charis, heart and be a voice for the voiceless. God will lead us to more partners, who can support Charis in our work.
