MESSAGE FROM THE YOUTH COUNCIL CHAIR & CO-CHAIR Urban Synergy's Youth Council, mad up of alumni and serving members continues to play a vital role in championing and supporting yo people from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their aspirations. The Council pr strong sense of communi mentees and mentors a shared purpose and liv here ited by a experience, Success Morrison. Chair (M&G PIC Apprentice) Throughout the year, Youth Council members contributed to seminars, school sessions, and corporate panels, strengthening engagement with young people. A key highlight was the Urban Synergy Golf Day, which created a unique space for informal networking between professionals and young people. YOUNG PEOPLE CAN SEE THE CITY SKYSCRAPERS BUT DON'T KNOW HOW TO ACCESS THE OPPORTUNITY? Many young people in inner-city areas can see corporate centres such as Canary Whartand the City of London, but cannot see themselves within them. Limited role models. networks, and exposure to professional environments restrict access to opportunity and ultimately impact aspirations, work readiness, and long-term career outcomes.

Samuel secured and accepted a Software Engineering Degree Apprenticeship with Bloomberg., one of the world's leading providers of financial data and technology solutions.

Through workshops, mentoring, and industry exposure in partnership with Salesforce, young women are gaining the skills, confidence, and access needed to enter high-growth technology careers.
DREAM BIG We partnered with IiimN to deliver the Dream Big multi-year programme, supporting young people f rom underrepresented communities to build skills, confidence, and career readiness. Through mentoringp training? and access to work experience opportunities, the partnership is helping to equip participants with the tools and exposure needed to succeed, while driving greater inclusion across the workforce and giving back to the community. INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY We delivered International Women's Day events at Christ the King Aquinas School and St Augustine's Primary School, reaching over 330 students. In partnership with organisations including Dynamic Planner and LSEG, and supported by alumni and Youth Council leadership, young people engaged with relatable role models and gained practical insights on conf idence, resilience, and self- worth.
HONORARY MAYORESS OF LEWISHAM Leila Thomas, CEO and Founder of Urban Synergy, was appointed as the Honorary Mayoress of Lewisham, recognising her outstanding commitment to empowering young people. Through Urban Synergy's work supporting those aged 9 to 24, she has played a pivotal role in expanding access to mentoring, work experience, and career opportunities, helping to drive social mobility across the borough. The appointment, announced by Mayor of Lewisham Brenda Dacres, highlights the impact of strong local partnerships in creating pathways for young people to achieve their ambitions.

URBAN SYNERGY CHARITY GOLF DAY 2025 In May 2025, Urban Synergy took to the greens at The Shire London for our annual Charlty Golf Day fundralser. partnering with prominent organisations like the London Stock Exchange Group, FTI Consulting, Boku, and UK Power Networks, the event paired corporate executives directly with Urban Synergy young professionals. Together we raised £25,000 to grow our programmes! our young people learnt to navigate a sport that has historically felt out of reach. Beyond the physical and mental benefits of the game, this day served as a unique vehicle for developing vital character traits like patience, integrity, and resilience. By teaching our mentees how to navigate these spaces in a supportive environment, we aren't just teaching them a sport- we are equipping them with the lifelong social capital and confidence that is useful to thrive in the business world.
