REPORT OF THE DIRECTORS
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 SEwfEMBER 2023
The directors present their annual report, together with the accounts of the company for the year
ended 30 September 2023.
BUSINESS REVIEW
The principle artlvity of the company Is to support parents and families through the emotlonal
trauma of havlng premature and poorly babies needlng specialist neonatal support whilst in the
neonatal units in Lebcester and when they go home for as long as necessary. The Board of Directors
have agreed that any surplus fund5 will be carrled forward and reinvested.
The directors conslder that the state of affalrs of the company as at the date of the balance sheet
was satisfactory.
RESULTS
The result for the year was a deficlt of £14,617. The accumulated funds of £33,535 will be carried
forward.

DIRECTORS RESPONSIBILITIES
The dlrectors are requlred by the Companies Act 2006 to prepare financial statements for each
financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company at the year end
and the prof5t or loss for that year. It is also the directorfs responsibilities to maintain proper
accounting records which dlsclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the
company and to enable them to ensure that the accounts comply wlth the Companies Act 2006. They
are responslble for safeguarding the assets of the company and hence for preventing fraud and
irregularities. The dirertors conflrrn that suitable accountlng policies, con515tently applied and
supported by reasonable and prudent judgements and e5tifflates have been used in the preparation
of these accounts and that appllcable accountlng standards have been followed.

BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT
Our examination was carried out In accordance wlth the General Directions given by the Charity
Cummissluners. An examlnatlon includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity
and a comparison of the accounts presented wlth those records. It also includes consideration of
any unusual Items or dlsdosures in the accounts and seeklng explanatlOn5 from you as trustees
concem1ng any such matters. The procedure5 undertaken do not provide all the evidence that
would be required in an audlt and consequently we do not express an audlt opinion on the vlew
glven by the 4ccounts.
