Owr respon￿bIlItIeS for tbe audlt of the flninei*l 5ts1emeDts
We have betn appointed as auditors under Section 144 of the Charitt'es Act 2011 and re￿rt in Accordan¢e with the Act
and relevant regulations rnad¢ or having cffc¢t thereunder.
Our obj¢ctives are to obtain re&sonabk assurance about wheth¢r the fJJ)ancial statements As a whole a￿ free from
material misstatement. whether due to fraud or ermr, and to issue a Re￿)ll of the Indqyendent Auditors that includes our
oplmon. Re￿ngbI¢ assurance is a high level of assurance. but is not a 8uaTaniee that an audit ￿nd￿ted in accordance
with ISAS (UK) will always detect a material missiatement when it exists. Misstatements can arise from fraud or ernr
and are ￿nsidered rnaterial if, individually or in the aggr¢gale, they could reawnably be expected lo influ¢n¢e the
economic deGTsions of users tsk¢n on the basis of these financial s¢atements.
The extent to which ourprocedures are capable of detecting 1￿C8￿l0r1ti¢S, including fraud is detailed below:

with our reS￿￿81b111ties, oudined above, lo deiccl material mi5Stalements in respect of irregulariiies. including fraud.
The extent to wkn'th our Fmcedures are capable of det￿ting irregularities, tncludmg fraud ts detad¢d below:
- We &qsws Compliance with applicable laws and regulations that could reasonably be ￿pecI¢d lo have a
nutfflial cffcct on the financial 5taternents. The key laws and regulatsons we have coDsidered in this context included the
Clkriiies SORP (FRS 102). In addition, we have ¢¢)n5idered provisions of other laws and re8ulations ibat do not have
direct effe¢l on the till8Dcial statements bul compltance with wlu.ch may be tijndaniental to the company's ability to
opKrate or to avoid a material penalty. The extent to which our procedures are capable of detectsng irregularilia5.
including fraud is detailed below. Based on the results of our risk assessment we deslgned our audit pmcedures to
identify non-£omplianee with such laws a￿1 regulations identified aknvc.we discussed with management the extent of
compliance with those laws and regulations as part of our audit procedur￿.
- We address lh¢ risk of fraud through management override of controls. by obtst'ning an understanding of internal
control and by designing audit procedures that are aPPTopfi8* and sufficient. Wc cvaluated th¢ appropriateness of
accounting policies used 8nd the reasonablene&8 of accounting estimates and judgements made by management. We
identified and assessed any SI￿lfICant transactions that are unusual or outside the nornjal course of busine55, and we
incorporaled iesting of manual joumal entrics and co￿¢¢I101lS inlo our audit approach.
4)ur audit pro¢edur¢s were dcsigned to identify and &ss¢ss risks of material misststement in the firsancial
statements, whether due to fraud or error. Th¢ risk of not detecting a material misstatement due to fraud is bigh¢r
than the risk of not detecting on¢ resulting from enor, fraud may involve collusion, forgery, omissions,
misrepresentations, or management override of controls. We communicated identified laws and regulations and potential
fr8ud risks to all engag¢Jnent team member5 and remained alert to any indications of fraud or non-compliat]ce with laws
and r¢gulations throughout the audii. The engagemcnt par¢ner considers the engagement ttam collectively had the
approprlate cOMpete￿e and capabilities to identify or reco8nize noTrcompli8nce with laws and regulations.
-Thu¢ inh¢r¢nl JimitatiODS in the audit procethwes described above and the fiwther removed non4omplianee with
laws and regulations is from the events and transactions refiected in thc fujancial statements, the less likely we would
become aware of it. Also. the risk of not detecting a material misstalement due lo fraud is higher than the risk of noi
detecting one from ¢rror, as fraud may involve deliberate concealment by. for exatnple, forgery or intelltiona
misrepr¢8¢ntation, or through collusTOn. Our responsibility is to conclud¢ whether the financial Statements Tewesent the
und¢rlyiJJg financial position and activities of the cI￿lty and to ensure that th¢ overau content and presentation of the
