## **ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION** 

VICTORIA ROAD EVANGELICAL Church Charity is a local Church situated at 256 Victoria Road, Aston, B6 5 HN.  Tel: 0121 326 0179, E-mail vrechurch@gmail.com  The Church is open to the public. 

The Charity Trustees, those who served from 1st January 2022 until 31st December 2022 are: 

- JONATHAN GERALD 

- URBAN FERGUS 

- MARIE GILBERT 

- JULIETTE GERALD 

- MAURICE HYDE 

- KAREN HALL 

The activities of the Victoria Road Evangelical Church are overseen by the Pastor, Trustees and Church Committee.  Karen Hall has been appointed to replace John Gerald. 

The Trustees are responsible for the financial administration of the Church, the care and maintenance of the main church & Hall premises. 

The church meetings _(for all members wishing to attend)_ gives general 

guidance on the life and work of the Gospel. 

The New Pastor who was appointed April 2022 (Juliette Gerald)  Pastor Gerald is now the Overseer and  Elder Fergus  are the ministers in pastoral charge. 

The Trustee Board continue to meet a number of times online to discuss the administration of the Church.

## **OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES** 

The local congregation of Victoria Road Evangelical Church seeks to advance the Christian religion through its activities and the facilities offered to the community by its building and described more specifically in 

The Trustees are aware of the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit in "The Advancement of Religion for the Public Benefit" and has regard to it in the administration of the Church. 

The Trustees believes that the Church provides benefit to the public by: 

- providing resources and facilities for public worship, pastoral care and spiritual, moral and intellectual development, both for the congregation and for anyone else who wishes to benefit from what the Church offers; • promoting Christian values and service by members of the congregation to the community, for the benefit of individuals and society as a whole. 

## **MAIN ACTIVITIES** 

Victoria Road Church has now resumed to normal services in the building. Sunday School, Sunday morning service, SEAD meeting, Choir practices, however, the church have continue some activities have  online services, e.g. Bible Study, Pray & fasting, Leader’s meeting, prayer meeting and other groups in the church met online. 

The Church applied to the Council for a grant to install Security Equipment around the church which will include an automatic open gate with external cameras around the parameters.  Proposal was made to maintain the property. Painting the buildings and replacing windows in the Church. This is to be done in Spring 2023. 

Health & Safety Lead has ensured that all the safety check and policies are in 

place.

As a local congregation of the Victoria Road Evangelical Church, seeks to advance our Christian religion through its activities and services we offer to the local community in line with our statement of Faith.  The Trustees in line with the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit in “The Advancement of Religion for public Benefit” believes that the church provides benefits to the public by providing resources and facilities for public worship, pastoral care, and spiritual and moral and intellectual development, both for the congregation and anyone else who wishes to benefit from what the church offers.
