## **ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION** 

VICTORIA ROAD EVANGELICAL Church Charity is a local Church situated at 256 Victoria Road, Aston, B6 5 HN.  Tel: 0121 326 0179, E-mail: Vrechurch@gmail.com The Church is open to the public. 

The charity trustees, those who served from 1st January 2021 until 31st December 2021 are: 

- JONATHAN GERALD 

- URBAN FERGUS 

- MARIE GILBERT 

- JULIETTE GERALD 

The activities of the Victoria Road Evangelical Church are overseen by the Pastor, Trustees and Church Committee. A new member will be added to the Trustee board to replace the late John Gerald. 

The Trustees are responsible for the financial administration of the Church, the care and maintenance of the main church & Hall premises. 

The church meetings _(for all members wishing to attend)_ gives general guidance on the life and work of the Gospel. 

The Pastor & Elder are the ministers in pastoral charge. 

Due to the Pandemic and restrictions were still in place during the first half of 2021, The Trustee Board met a number of times online to discuss the administration of the Church.

## **OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES** 

The local congregation of Victoria Road Evangelical Church seeks to advance the Christian religion through its activities and the facilities offered to the community by its building and described more specifically in 

The Trustees are aware of the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit in "The Advancement of Religion for the Public Benefit" and has regard to it in the administration of the Church. 

The Trustees believes that the Church provides benefit to the public by: 

- providing resources and facilities for public worship, pastoral care and spiritual, moral and intellectual development, both for the congregation and for anyone else who wishes to benefit from what the Church offers; • promoting Christian values and service by members of the congregation to the community, for the benefit of individuals and society as a whole. 

## **MAIN ACTIVITIES** 

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, from March 2020 to July 2021 Victoria Road Evangelical Church had to close its doors to public worship due to the Government lockdown and restrictions.  During this time as we continue to have regular contact with all our members, 

**The VREC contingency planning team and the Media team played** a vital role in keeping the church connected and updated during these difficult times. They were responsible for all church recordings, zoom meetings and helped equipped members to ensure that their devices were up to date and assistance was given in using Zoom software to enable the Church to go live on Zoom from Sunday 3[rd] January 2021. 

## **Re-opening Church for Worship on the 25[th] July 2021** 

The VREC contingency planning team, ushers and cleaning team were very instrumental in undertaking task for Church to reopen in-line with Government Requirements.  Attending Service started with seating available for 85 people and social distancing maintained, 2 rotas system were in operation to manage number, service was also offered on Zoom and recordings on WhatsApp. The Church Hall was due to have major renovation work carried out on the Roof, so we were not able to use this as an addition space to meet.

As a local congregation of the Victoria Road Evangelical Church, seeks to advance our Christian religion through its activities and services we offer to the local community in line with our statement of Faith.  The Trustees In line with the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit in “The Advancement of Religion for public Benefit” believes that the church provides benefits to the public by providing resources and facilities for public worship, pastoral care, and spiritual and moral and intellectual development, both for the congregation and anyone else who wishes to benefit from what the church offers.  Promoting Christian values and services by members of the congregation to the community, for the benefit individuals and society as a whole. 

## **FINANCIAL REVIEW:** 

A summary of the church’s finance includes our income and expenditure at 31[st] December 2021, showing the monthly donations and expenses carried out to maintain the land and building.
