Th¢ Charity operat¢s the River&Meet Centre (open to paying customers since Au¥ust 2010), now brat￿ed as River&M¢et
Active the ¢nlarged Bri¢kfields site now re-branded ￿ Riversmeet Perfomwice (op¢u io paying customers since July
20221, both in Gillingham, north Dorset. The Charity continues to provide the public with facilities for ex¢rcise and
actively promotes the benefits of a healthy lifestvle, seeing itself as pro&llding a vital service a3 a wrtuDutiity hub. In
JLmuary 2025, the cl)￿1￿ opened its Wellbeing Hub as additional resource forthe local community. The Charty is
managed on & self-sustsining basis. The Charity operates a commullity café and %lls a SEle¢tion of swimming-r¢lat¢d
it¢ms at Riv¢nMeet Aetive.

THE METHODS ADOPTED FOR THE RECRUITMENf AND APPOINTMENf OF NEW TRUSTEES

POLICIES OF• RESERVES
The trust¢es hay¢ establish reserves to prnvide for fimre activities. which stood at £52k at the year eDd. and ar¢ held as a
contingency for wibudgeted wsts aTLd em¢rgencyTepairs. The majority of the Charitys balance sheet reserves ar¢
represented by f￿¢d assets following the development of the Riv¢rsM¢et Contre.
RISK
The trustees have identified the major risks affecting the Charity And regularly review these risks to ensure that the risks
e nwnaged effectivety by the charity t[￿￿e¢S and managetnent. Th¢ trust¢¢s alt activelv managing the risks posed by the
¢nergy crisis. the challet)ge of securing the optimum operational effectiveness for both Air Source Heat Pumps and our
hot WAter system and the urgent need to improve our c&8hfiow and fmancial viability.
FINANCtAL REVIEW
The company received income of £1.940,487 (2024 (re5tated).' £1,796,067), the vost majority of which was membenhip
and admission fees from ￿er$ of the original Riversmeet Activ¢ L£isure CeDtre and the new RiVe￿Meet PerformarLce
facility. Th¢ company incurred oxpenditute of £1.770,635 (2024.. £1,791,075).
Th¢ ¢ompany reconled & surplus of £169.852 compared to £4,992 for th¢ pr¢vious yeor. Th¢se figures ere in part due to a
change in aceounting policy for the treatment of capithl grdnt& which were previously defrrred and releL8ed ov¢r the life
of the related ass¢L bu¢ are now b¢ing accounted for in accordance with the new Charity SORP. Were tb¢s¢ accounts
prepared on the previous basi5. the resu]ts w(Kdd &l￿W operating profits but l¢)sses when depr¢¢iatlon tharges were
recogTLised.
Th¢ ¢ompany h2d net a&sets at 30 June 2025 of £3,936,480 (2024 (restated).. £3,766.628). Cash at 30 June 2025 was
£215,911 cornpared with £77,039 in the prior yEar.
THE FUTURE
The Tn]stees are excited at the prospects forgrowth in the irnmediate fiJtur¢. The new Board of trustees has a strong mix
of differnit tal¢nts, a mor¢ ¢ffecuYe understhnding of corporate goiernance and a deal of enthusiasm lo support
GCLT and all its interth, going for%tywds. Th¢ Board is focused on..
