Activities
SARAS provide two Refuges, accommodating a total of 37 families at any one time. Families have to be eligible for public funding and a victim of domestic abuse including coercive control. We house dependent children of any gender or age and also accommodate female heads of house-holds who are 16 or 17. We provide ongoing support to move into independent living.
Objects: The Objects Of The Charity ('The Objects') Are:3.2.1 To Relieve And Support Those Who Have Suffered, Or Are In Danger Of Suffering, Violence From Or The Effects Of Violence From Perpetrators Known To Them; And3.2.2 To Relieve The Distress And Suffering Experienced By Women And Refugees From Minority Ethnic Groups And Any Children Of Such Women Or Refugees Who Have Been Maltreated By Their Partners, Other Family Members Or Men Or Women Known To Them; And3.2.3 To Educate And Inform The Public In All Aspects Of Domestic Violenceand In Association With The Local And National Authorities And Voluntary Organisations, This Relief Shall Be Provided In Any Manner Which Is Now Or May Hereafter Be Deemed By Law To Be Charitable, Within The City Of Sheffield And Elsewhere In The United Kingdom.
