Activities
The charity has supported up 24 football teams playing under the Mackworth St Francis banner with kit, trophies etc. Planning and architech fees towards the renovation of the community hall within Mackworth. Several evants have been organised during the year including a summer fete.The renovation of the church hall is in abeyance awaiting further funding.
Objects: 3.1 To Promote The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Mackworth Estate (The Area In Derby Bordered By The A38 Trunk Road, A52 Derby To Ashbourne Road, Radbourne Lane, Station Road To Mickleover And The Now Disused Northern Railway Line) Without Distinction Of Sex, Sexual Orientation, Race Or Of Political, Religious Or Other Opinions In A Common Effort To Advance Education. 3.2 To Provide Facilities In The Interests Of Social Welfare For Recreation And Leisure Time Occupation With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Inhabitants And Residents Of Mackworth Estate; And 3.3 To Establish, Or Secure The Establishment Of, A Community Centre And To Maintain And Manage The Same (Whether Alone Or In Conjunction With Any Local Authority Or Other Person Or Body) In Furtherance Of The Objects.
