Charity No.1138372 **Trauma Aid UK** 1A Wickham Rise Frome BA11 2JJ email: contact@traumaaiduk.org ## ANNUAL REPORT FOR 2022 Throughout 2022, Trauma Aid UK (TAUK) has continued to provide training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) to mental health professionals working in traumatised communities worldwide who would not otherwise have access to such training. This has enabled these professionals to acquire professional skills and knowledge in order to alleviate pain and suffering caused by post-traumatic psychological disorders. Due to the Covid pandemic, most of the training this year has been delivered online. This is with the interim agreement of EMDR Europe Association Standards & Training Committee until the end of 2022. In addition to EMDR Training and providing Continuing Professional Development seminars and workshops online, TAUK has translated a manual for Group EMDR into Arabic which was later used for the purpose of disaster response following the Turkish/Syrian earthquake. Our IT expert, one of the trustees, has developed a computerized organizational system as we move towards encouraging accreditation and local associations. We have made agreements with the EMDR UK Association’s regional groups to invite the people we train to attend CPD workshops pro-bono or for non-English speakers, to make available the recording to view with their own interpreter. Charity No.1138372 ## Independent examiners’ report to the trustees of Trauma Aid UK I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Trauma Aid UK (the charity) for the year ended 31 December 2022, which are set out on pages 4 and 5. ## Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’). I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. ## Independent examiner's statement I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: (1) accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or (2) the accounts do not accord with those records.
