TRUSTEE REPORT

FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2020

The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2020. The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 01 January 2019).

Structure, Governance and Management

The charity is a company limited by guarantee.

The Trustees, who are also the directors, for the purpose of company law, who served during the year were:

Risk Management

The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks.

Objectives and activities

The charity's objects are to advance the Christian faith in any charitable way in which the trustees think fit, but not exclusively, through the medium of music primarily for young people in Moston/ Harpurhey and the surrounding area. There has been no change in these during the year.

The Trustees have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what activities they should undertake.

Statement of Responsibilities

The Trustees, who are also the directors of Christ’s Evangelical Ministry International Ltd, for the purpose of company law, are responsible for preparing the report and the accounts in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).

The law applicable to charities in England and Wales, the Charities Act 2011, Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2011 and the provisions of the trust deed requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources, including the income and expenditure. of the charity for that period. In preparing those financial statements, the trustees are required to:

The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2011 and the provisions of the trust deed. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

The trustees are responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the charity and financial information included on the charity's website. Legislation in the United Kingdom governing the preparation and dissemination of financial statements may differ from legislation in other jurisdictions.

INCOMING RESOURCES

Recognition of incoming These are included in the Statement of Financial Activities (SoFA) when:

EXPENDITURE AND LIABILITIES
Liability recognition Liabilities are recognised as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the
charity to pay out resources.
Governance costs Include costs of the preparation and examination of statutory accounts, the costs of trustee
meetings and cost of any legal advice to trustees on governance or constitutional matters.
Grants with performance Where the charity gives a grant with conditions for its payment being a specific level of service
conditions or output to be provided, such grants are only recognised in the SoFA once the recipient of
the grant has provided the specified service or output.
Grants payable without These are only recognised in the accounts when a commitment has been made and there are
performance conditions no conditions to be met relating to the grant which remain in the control of the charity.
Support Costs Support costs include central functions and have been allocated to activity cost categories on
a basis consistent with the use of resources, eg allocating property costs by floor areas, or per
capita, staff costs by the time spent and other costs by their usage.
ASSETS
Tangible fixed assets for use These are capitalised if they can be used for more than one year, and cost at least £500.
