The Foundatron contlnued to arrange the sponsorshlp of 40 students at St Mlchael's School. Kllolo, In
Tanzanla. In 2019 the Foundatlon also took over the admlnlstrat¥)n of 6 additional students
sponsored by St MldHefs Church. Chester Square. London, and this arrangement continue& The
Headmaster of St Michaefs School ts Mr Gldeon Mallfknbo. A memberofthe teachlng staff acts as
coordinator wlth DTCF.
Form 4 e¥am results placed the school In the top 21% natIonal￿. detslled results ond comparlsons
with previous years are given In the tsb￿s below. Of the 11 students In the yÈar sponsored by DTCF.
3 passed In dlvlsion I, l in dNislon 2. 4 in divtsion 3 and 3 in driislon 4 The 4 who have pa55ed In
dfvlslons l & 2 have been offered sponsorshlp to undertake A level coury￿S In schoots which provkle
these.
A vigt by è Trustee to St Mithaeys School duriJ¥ the year 2020 had to be put on hold because ofthe
Covid-19 pandemlc, and again in 2021 It did not pr￿* pjssible to make a vlslL It remalns a polty of
the Trust that a vlsit by a trustee b made annualty pMtble and tt is hoped to resume these

RAP-CD was founded in 211)7 and alms to support the parents ot dtsabled chlldren, prfnclpally by
provldin8 appropriate education, afKI also by maklry local communities aware of the rghts and
potentlal of these chlldren. arml by defendire those I￿ts where necessary. Its main base is a
boardlng school In Lisese. we5tem Uganda. whlch provldes prlmary educatlon {dasses Pl to P71 for
disabled children, most of whom blind or deaf or have ￿rebral palsy.
The school has 144 pupils and 22 stsff. 16 of whom are teather& Almost all of the children are
boarders, bein8 drawn from villa8es In the 8reater Kase5e area and W.

A particular ¢hallenge has been a s￿r* of dassroomk one has been dedK*ed to brallle teachlr
and anotherto Irteachln& meanln8that the dining area had to be used by 2 classe5 as classroom
space. A further classroom block comprisin8 2 da55n￿m5 ha5 now been bullt and was roofed
followin8 a donath)n of £2LXYJ frDm DTCF bn Marth 2021.

Thi5 nursery school was estsbllslrtd Sn 2L￿5 to c*er malnly forthe chlldren of poorer famllles In the
immediate locality of Ka8ando. preparln8ttrth for entry Into the primary school system. It was
started in a very Small rented building of poor quality. but in 2015 kind adja￿nt to the sdK)ol's
orlglnal slte was Pufchased for bulldln& and by 2018 a three tLissroom block hèd been built. In 2020
a new latrlne block was com*ted alon8skle the maln bulk11￿ The two rernalnln8 unsecured
classrooms were fltted with wSndows and doors to make them fulty secure; thls was achlml wlth a
grant of £IOOO from DTCF in September 2021.
Wfth the arrlval of the Pandemic, sthools were shut acros5 Uganda. These y￿re 8radually r￿pened
In a tiered fashion from April 2021. Additional requirements before sd7001s coubd rtropen Included a
ure perimeterfence. a ralrmiater harvestlng system. addltbnal bend￿5. a school nurse and PPE.
Agrant of EICM was made by DTCF to set up a r4lnwater haryest5￿ system.
