REPORT OF THE TREASURER
FUNDRAISING & DONATIONS
Anti Caste Discrimination Alliance (ACDA) wishes to express enormous gratitude to the fundraising committee who through their efforts have previously secured much funding for the charity.
We rely heavily on donations to help us fulfil our aims and objects. Every amount helps and is used to fund the work we do. We would like to express a sincere thanks to all the organisations and individuals who have made donations to the charity this financial year.

There has been a minimal level of financial activity this financial year. At the yearend (31[st] December 2021) our funds amounted to £19,879.61. (Cash in bank). A copy of the accounts may be obtained from ACDA upon request.
I should like to extend our grateful thanks to all the companies, charitable trusts, and individuals who have previously supported, and continue to support ACDA. I would especially like to thank the People’s Postcode Trust, for their generous grant funding donation to ACDA in 2020. This vital funding will allow ACDA to be able to focus on new areas of work, especially during these unprecedented times of the coronavirus pandemic, where movement and physical gatherings are restricted across the UK
Amongst our plans for 2022 is our aim to increase and diversify our fundraising income focusing on:
-
Developing our social media presence
-
Upgrade and revamping of the charity website
-
Development of video producing capabilities
-
Start of the oral history project
-
Delivering training workshops across the UK and online
-
Media and political campaigns on national and International projects
-
Secure funding for our challenging and exciting strategic campaigns.
-
National and International conference.
At the year-end, the economic outlook for many charities, their funders and other organisations, is rather bleak. Fundraising has undoubtedly become more difficult in such a climate, and will continue to be challenging. But we see that the need for our services will remain and are confident that our effective and financially efficient means of delivering our core message and objectives, will find favour with funders and donors.
