We tackle a wide range of SRHR Issues,. we tackle child marrlage, we tackle Female Genltal Mutllation/ Cutting

Strateglc Prlorltles 2024 to 2025
l. Player Impact
We will continue to analyse, evaluate and improve the Impact on the partlcipants of a well-dellvered curriculum of HIV
and/or SRHR programming through football coaching sessions a5 we recognise it Is fundamental to Tackle's approach
and success. We recognise that demonstratlng Impact, quality and value for money wlll contlnue to art as a catalyst
for our reputation and continuing growth.
We are exclted about the learnlng from our PhD research whlch comes to frultion in 2024 from whlch we are already
rolllng out new approaches to Monltorlng, Evaluation and Learnlng {MEL} includlng our 'Research par les Coaches,
IRPC) approach to Improved qualitatlve data collectlon and our first Community Led Monitoring (CLMI programme of
HIV servSces. We are also looking forward to the learnlng we wlll galn from the up-comlng external evaluation5 of our
multl-year ChanÈl and BT programmes which conclude In 2024.
Throughout this strateglc perlod we wlll contSnue p￿sentIng our Impact based on young people:
Reached by our programmes;
Engaged In our proBrammes'
Acce551ng HIV/SRHR cllnlcèl servltes as a result our programmes,
We wlll celebrate these successes,
We wlll also pllot tech solutlons to further im prove our quantltatlve data collectlon wlth the use of an onllne system
across our programmes. After multlple trlals we have declded to move forward in partnershlp wlth Upshot and wlll
be rolllng out thelr system acros5 our programmes In 2025.
The Operatlons team has developed a Reslllence plan In order to mltlgate the effects of any on-golng and future
lockdowns to ourprogrammln81 such as that caused bythe COVID pandemlc. These Include coach tralnlng and support
and programme dellvery actlvlties that can be carrled out remotely and small actSvatlons (e.g. poster campal8ns, radlo
shows) to keep engagln8 the communltles we work In.
In we wlll engage the Se￿Ice$ of a consultant to research and provlde guidance on the best way to engage our
participant5 and their voices In the work that we do. Ideas such as a Youth Ambassadorlcouncll will be explored on
how best thls can be done whlle a150 looklng to Improve the Stakeholder Review process wlth coaches, partners,
donors and others who interact wlth us.
2. Coach Development
We wlll Incorporate learnlng from our operatlonal activity and analyse, evaluate and continue to Improve our ablllty
in delivering re8ular high-quality sesslons to consistent groups of participants over significant enough periods to
achieve posltlve change. Our operatlons team wlth contlnue to design our programmes In collaboration with our
partner and malntaln flexibllity In our Model where we see the opportunity to do so.
In the case of restrlctions caused by COVID-like pandemlcs, Tackle will look to reach coaches safely and following
Natlona l Guidelines In each country. This may Involve smaller training courses (all courses will respect sanitary and
social dlstanclng measures), outdoor only courses, an Inc￿aSe in messaging/broadcastin8 to ensure information Is

Tackle Is explorlng varlous technology-based solutlons which could support coach development such as Apps and
messaging systems and will trial the most promising ones before investing in them.
3. Achlevlng sustslnability
We wlll continue our planned approaches to assessing and building partner capacity in those areas that ensure our
partners have the skllls, resources and motlvation to plan, Implement and monltor Tackle programmes. We remaln
comrnltted to supporting our partners to run Tackle style programmes themselves and, where required, we may
contlnue to lead or support them to secure the necessary funds. We will continue to develop our quality assurance
role to ensure the hlghest possible conslstency In standards of dellvery across all branded Tackle actlvity.
We recognlse that programmatlc sustalnablllty is key to our impact and our Erowth, allowlng us to develop new
projects that add to rather than replace existlng or prevlous work. We remaln commltted to partner pro8rammes
through INGOS as the most likely source of exponentlal programme Erowth that would take the organisatlon beyond
the tsr8ets outllned In this strate8y. Durlng thls strategic perlod, we see the opportunity for such programmlng being
supported by the recent development of our Tool Kits.
These objectives can be seen to be Integral to the current UN Sustalnable Development Goals. Specifically, our work
on HIV contrlbutes to Goal 3 'Good Health & Well-belng" and our work on SRHR, Chlld Marriage, FGM and Gender
Based Vlolence contrlbutes to Goal 5"Achlevlng Gender EqualSty and empowering all Wornen and Girl￿.
In 2025 Tackle secured new sources of fundlng to dellver 5afe8uardin8 tralnln8 and support to Laureus Global Team
In London and Malalka Foundatlon In the Democratlc Republlc of Congo land global team). These new Income streams
stemmed from the planned strateglc objectlve of monet151n8 Tackle's experlence and Intellectual property whlch has
been developed and honed over more than 20 years.
The success of both pSeces of work have led to several other Interested partles contactlng Tackle wlth more projects
planned In 2025.
Future Plans
We wlll work from a rollin8 Strategy, allowSng us to be agile and responslve to an ever-changlng and challenglng
envlronment. We have Identified strategic objectlves for the next three years that alm to contrlbute to our
organisational goals. These will be revSewed and adjusted every year, based on what we are learnlng, the Influences
on the International development sector and the speclflc Issues we work on. The reach of ihe BLM movement has
brought welcomed challenges to all organSsation5, includlng Tackle and has caused us to constructively consider and,
where approprlate, adapt our way5 of working.
There Is sector-wide consensus that InternatSonal development Is experiencing a perlod of Intense and rapid change,
The Covid-19 pandemic, Brexit and the creatlon of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office {FCDOI have
further exacerbated these challenges and uncertalntles at a time when the need for our programmes Ss Increasln8
dramatlcally.
Structurally, In additlon to reglsterlng TackleAfrlca In Zambla and Uganda, the process Is underway for registration In
the Ivory Coast as well, We have established TackleAfrica in France and Germany through supporters In those
countries and to relnforce our growlng Ilnks with the French and German internatlonal development communities.
Strategically• we believe these structural chanEe5 will provide the platform to allow us to develop the partnershlps
and secure the resources to continue to work wlth more young people and achleve greater Impact.
