Activities

Provides advice when requested by landowners and will comment on developments, generally through the planning process. It will also continue to comment on strategic planning issues and seek to support the interests of the countryside by promoting the great value of fragile landscape in the Parishes of Fishlake, Fenwick and Sykehouse.

Objects: To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public, The Conservation, Protection Andimprovement Of The Physical And Natural Environment Of The Humberhead Levels,particularly But Not Exclusively Within The Parishes Of Sykehouse, Fishlake Andfenwick And In Particular But Not Exclusively By:-(i) Purchasing Or Leasing Parcels Of Land Of Significance Due To Their Wildlife Orother Conservation Value Including Parcels Of Land Which Are Used By Wildlifefor Their Habitat Feeding And Breeding Purposes.(ii) Liasing With Public And Local Authorities Concerned With Nature Conservationand Others Working In Conservation With A View To Assisting The Implementationof Nature Conservation Projects.(iii) Preserving The Fabric Of The Landscape, In Particular The Grasslands, Wetlands,ditches And Hedgerows.(iv) Making Arrangements With, And Permitting Local Schools And Colleges To Use Theland For Educational Purposes And Nature Conservation Studies.(v) Educating The Public In The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of Thearea.
