Extent to which the audit was considered capable of detecting irregularities, including fraud
Our approach to identifying and assessing the risks of material misslaiement in respect of irregularitie5. including
fr8ud and non-compliance with laws and regulation5. was a5 follows..
the engagement partner ensuied that the engagement tearn collectivety had the appropriate competents,
capabilities and skills to idents.fy or recognise nori-compliance wrth applicAblÈ laws and regulations",
we identified the laws and regulations applicable lo the company through discussions wth Trustees and
other Management, and from our knovAedge and experience ol the sector,.
we focused on specific laws and regulalions which we conS￿ered may have a direct material effect on the

Charities Act 2011. the Charities SORP. tsxalion legi51alion. dats protection. ant￿bribery. employment.

we assessed the extent of compliance with the laws and regulations ￿entified above through making
enquiries of management and inspecting legal correspondence.. and
• identified laws and regulations were communicated wilhin the audit team regularfy and the team remained
alert to instance5 of nOn•cA￿p1lanCe throughout the audit.
We 8ssessed the sus¢eptibilty of th& ¢haritable Company s finan¢ial slalemenls lo maierial misstatement, induding

• considering the intemal controls in place lo mil￿ale risks of fraud and non•CLJmpliance with laws and
regulations.
Audlt rn¥pon¥e to Identlff•d
To address the risk of fraud through m8na9emenl bias and overridtr of ¢onlrols. we..
performed analytical procedures lo Ident￿ ary unusual or unexpected relationships;
reviewed all transactions listed".
• assessed whether judgements and assumplions made in determining the attounting estimates were
indicative of potenlial bias., and
investigated the rationale behind Slgnffj￿nt or unusual Iran5aclions.
In response lo the risk ol irregularil*s and non-¢omplwn¢e wilh law$ and ie9ulalion$, we designed pro¢¥dur$$
which included, but were not limited to."
• agreeing financial statement disclosures to undertying supporling documentation,. and
• enquiring of management as lo actual and potenbal lib"gab"on and daims.
There are inherent limitations in our audrt procedures described above. The more Temoved that laws and
regulations are from financial Iran58ctions. the less likety it is thal we would become aware of non-compliance.
Auditing standards also limit thè audtt procedures requirèd to identify non-compliance wth laws 8nd iegulations to

Material misstatements that arise due to fraud can be harder to detect than those that arise from error as they may
