Achievements and Perforniance
This financial year the KAT Centre has achieved
significant
milestones
in
various areas,
showcasing our dedication to making
difference. One of our noteworthy achievements
is the construction and now operation of a new
CP4T cancer unit- the first of its kind anywhere
in Asia. With this endeavour, we aimed to tackle
the growin8 epidemic of infectious cancer
spreading through the stray dog population.
Through the establishment of this unit, we have
provided a dedicated facility where CM cancer
case5 can re￿1ve specialized isolation, medical
care. support, and treatment. This achievement
holds immense potential to positively impact the
lives of dogs affected by CTVT-cancer, grantin8
thern improved ac￿55 to care and potentially
enhancin8 their chances of recovery and overall
well-being.
In addition to our cancer unlt, we have
successfully developed new partnerships. These
collabofations reflect our commitment to
expanding our reach and effettivene55. By
joining forces with other or8anizations, we can
leverage shared resource5, knowled8e, and
expertise. thereby enhancing our impact on
animal welfare. Through these partnerships, we
strive to implement more comprehensive and
sustsinable initiatives. ultimately benefiting a
larger number of animals in need. One of these
partnerships 15 with the Magic Marble
Foundation
who
along with the local
rnunicipality fund spaying camps in areas around
the Kathmandu valley.
Furthennore, we have taken a systematic
approach to improving animal welfare, which
lies at the core of our mission. Thi5 approach
involve5 developing comprehensive strategies,
implementing effettive programs, and actively
engaging with local communitie5 to create
lasting change. By focusing on improving animal
welfare on a broader scale. we aim to make a
positive impact not only on individual animals
but also on society as a whole. This encompasses
