St. Luke's Parothial Church Council (PCC)
has the responsibility of co-operating with the
incumbent, the Reverend Kylie Hodgins, in
promoting in the ecclesiastical parish the
whole mission of the Church, pastoral,
8vangelistic. social and ecumenical. The
PCC is also specifically responsible for the
Maintenan￿ of the Church Hall in The
Crescent, Bricket Wood.
St Luke's offers a variety of Se￿iceS each
week and at other times during the year to
meet the need8 of the church and the wider
communty. Worship is generally in the open
evangelical tradth'on and open to renewal.

A mKI-week liturgical service draws a small
congregation. of mostty retired people.
Throughout the liturgical year we continue to
serve the communty at large by having a
number of additional services, e.g. the Senior
Crtizens Services, Bereavemenl service, the
Mount Pleasant Lane School Carol service,
and Messy Church.
Wthen planning the activities for the year the
Vicar and members of the PCC have
considered the Charty Commission's
guidan￿ on public benefit and, in particular,
the specific guidance on charities for the
advancemgnt of religion.

Achievements and Perforniance
Alongside regular worship and Messy
Church. St Luke's ministry includes other
groups exercising their own pastoral and
social support: a Lunch Club for the older
members of the community, our Visiting and
BereavemeM teams. Our worship is live-
streamed on our YouTube channel. and this
continues to be a valuable resource for those
who cannot attend services in person.

Members of the congregation are actively
involved in the Bricket Wood Communty
Choir. which meets wee￿Y in the church.
We continue to support members in their
short term and long-tem) mission in this
country and overseas.
We continue our tradition of substantial
giving and volunteering to Christian and other
services outside the parish.
Wrthin the parish we have enjoyed sharing in
the lrfe and work of Mount Pleasant Lane
School
We support the local Foodbanks in Watford
and St Albans.
A Warm Space and a free book exchange
are available in the church halls in daylight
hours.
The Church Halls are used by a wide variety
of communty groups. induding a Preschool
and a GP surgery.

and has achieved its aims of maintaining
and improving the church premises as well
as allocating substantial sums to its chosen
missions and development agencies.
The charity generated sufficient income
through donations and legacies and Church
Hall fees, to maintain its operating financial
