My Child UK raises funds to support the work of My Child Uganda. The trustees
have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public
benefit. The funds raised support the following work.
Chlld Sponsorship in Uganda-Through this programme we are fulfilling objects A
and C. Money given for Child Sponsorship from UK sponsors is used for School
fees, books, uniforms and feeding while at school.
School in Uganda- One of the long term goals of My Chlldls to build a school in
Uganda. This will fulfil objects A and C. In 2011 the land for the school was
purchased and plans forthe building were drawn up. Building work has not yet
begun on the land as funds are still being raised. This fulfils object A,
Charity Shop- The charity shop enables those without monetary resources to
meet thelr needs through trade. Anyone can go to the shop and swap something
that they have in exchange for something that they need. Surplus food generated
by the swap shop is given to needy people in the area. We have been loaned an
acre of land to grow food for the people that are fed by the shop. Local Pastors
put together a rota that enables them to sit in the shop and share the Christian
faith with members of the community. They often take time to pray for people's
needs. The charity shop fulfils objects A and 8.

opportunities for those on the trip to Share their Christian faith with both
individuals and larger groups. For those taklng part in the mission trips it is not
only a time to serve through short-term work but also an opportunity to visit the
projects run by My Child and see the work that My Child is doing in Uganda.
Attendees often go back to the UK inspired and encouraged to promote the work

in their spiritual development.

opened the doorto formal education for many children. This year, we're proud
to share that three of the sponsored students have successfully completed their
A-Levels. At present, there are 36 students enrolled in the programme.
Bukomelo Charity Swap Shop:
On Friday, 24 November 2024. My Child Uganda proudly launched a new charity
shop in the village of Bukomelo. The event wa5 well-attended by members of
the community, including the local Mayor.
The shop is currently providing essential food for 10 elderly people, with the
number steadily growing. Since opening, the shop has welcomed 89 customers,
and we anticipate even more visitors a5 we approach the Easter season.
Conferences
My Child Uganda recently hosted a youth conference for girls aged 13 to 20,
which brought together 155 participants and was a resounding success.
Through worshipi game5, and meaningful discussions, the girls felt empowered

5kg of sugar, 5kg of beans. 5kg of rice, and Iokg of maize flour. These supplies
sustained 956 individuals through to the end of January. Before the

Registered charity number: 1137445
I report on the accounts for the year ended 31st December 2024 which are set out on the following pages.
Res
ive res
nsibilities of the Trustees and Inde
ndent Examiner
The charity's trustees are ￿sponSible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider
that an audit is not required for this year under Section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and
that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility
to examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act,
to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under
section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of Inde
ndent Examinerfs Statement
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission.
An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the
accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in
the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures
undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is
given as to whelher the accounts present a 'true and fairf view, and the report is limited to those matters set
out in the statement below.
Inde
ndent Examiner's Statement
In connection with my examination, no material matters have come to my attention which gives me cause to
believe that in any material respect..
accounting records were not kept in accordan￿ with section 130 of the Charities Act or
the accounts do not accord with the with the accounting records
I have corne across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn,
in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
