OCTOBER 2021 CHARITY REPORT
udlem First Responders provide 999 ambulance cover to Audlem & District throughout the year.
The map gives the approximate locations to which the team have been responding since June. Team members are based in Audlem and in Buerton and respond from their home bases. The further distances travelled are usually in response to a need during peak times where ambulances are not readily available. This year, there have been times when Audlem FR have waited up to 120mins for backup from Ambulance

crews. This highlights the importance of having a Team ready to attend 999 calls within minutes of the call and providing an immediate service for their local community.
At the start of the year, to help with pressure on NHS, one member of the team was seconded to the Paramedic Emergency Service of North West Ambulance Trust. One member of the team is a vaccinator for the Covid Vaccination programme. Another member of the team is a Student Paramedic/Technician with West Midlands Ambulance Service and regularly responds in his free time

Audlem FR team remain on call most daytimes during the week and, whenever possible, provide 24 hours cover each weekend.
What is noticeable is that the type of call we receive is increasing in ‘seriousness’. This is clearly due to the pressures on the mainline Ambulance Service.We have been dispatched to the following 999 calls:

Income & Expenditure
We receive occasional grants of a few hundred pounds from local parish councils. Alongside this NWAS pay mileage allowance of 35p per mile for cal outs and handovers.
Within this financial year we received a lottery Grant for a new vehicle,(to include livery and storage unit) to an amount of £26,500
Expenditure relates to running costs of the vehicle and small items of uniform for responders.

Personnel
At the start of the year we had a tally of four responders. One well-qualified, experienced and valued responder stood down but remains a Trustee of the Charity. We would record our thanks here for the many hours of dedicated responding she has put into the community over many years.
We have had one person from the village apply to join out team and their application is currently being processed by NWAS.
