TRUSTEES, ANNUAL REPORT Zero Gravity Charity Registered Charity Number: 1134722 Trustees, Annual Report for the Year Ended 30 September 2024 Principal Address: 1-3 Castle Buildings Gilston Road SALTASH PL12 6TW This has been an incredibly busyyear for the Gym Club as we entered the finalyear of our 10 year lease on the business premises. After initially entering pro-longed negotiations with the property agent a year earlier for a further extension to ourtenure, we had finally secured and agreed terms- or so we thought! As December approached and still awaitingfinalisation of renewed LegalTerms, an unsustainable further increase in lease costs were presented to us and after many discussions it was decided that our better option was to weigh up the costs of relocating both the Gym Academy as well as the independent soft play area. This was subsequently achieved by late February and planning permission for change of use was submitted to County Council and granted in April. The combined financial costs for internal fittings, legal expenses, deposit costs and clearance / moving, were substantial and beyond the capability of the Gym Academy- the overall decision therefore being that the Lease would be legally taken by the Ltd Company together with the expenses, thereby granting a permanent sub tenancy to the Academy, enablingthe Charity to continue onwards for the next decade. Relocation was a full on operation with many hands on deck for the move which was carried out overthe summerweeks. During the following crucial weeks we were down 2 of our main team members, one being on maternity and who continued to manage organisation of new programmes in between babyfeeds. Our second being absent with her husband who was approaching end of life and who sadly passed away a few weeks later....... despite her personal trauma, she continued to maintain contact and keep pace with ongoing developments. Tracey as our trustee and husband Mike, stepped in during this incredibly fraught time of long hours and extensive tasks and offered their help unconditionally, despite their
own family commitments... .... Their total support was unwavering in the provision of personal, physical and technical assistance with my intense gratitude to both of them in ensuring the provision of essential coffee and Snacks that kept both myself and our super helpful electrician going, frequently into very late hours. Finally, September arrived and following a mammoth effort, we were able to open with the Gym Academy beginning a renewed focus towards Tumbling. As a new start the finances were particularly tight but the sessions were filling, with the majority of our customers remaining steadfastly loyal.. .2024-2025 was a new beginning.. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to: • examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act, • to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and • to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examiner’s My examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions statement given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect, the requirements: to keep accounting records in

accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act have not been met; or
-
to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
