Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
During 2023/24 CPS Nepal continued to provide funds to care for and educate the 18/16 children living in the orphanage house. There were 14 school students and 4 college students, 2 first-year college and 2 second-year college. The 2 second-year college students completed their college exams in April 2023. Both also reached the age of 18 and have been signed off by CPS Nepal. CPS Nepal provides funding for 2 months living expenses for these leavers enabling them to find employment and become self-sufficient. CPS Nepal has continued its bursary programme for 8 local children who are living in poverty to enable them to access a good education.
3 trustees were able to visit in person in October 2023.
The majority of CPS funding is by regular donors who have continued their support. Various fundraising activities have also been undertaken eg felt sales.
In this accounting period, there was a profit of £1,976.
CPS Nepal has always ensured that there is a healthy reserve of funds to cover 2 years’ expenditure in case of unforeseen emergencies, this reserve fund totalling £59,378 as at 31/03/2024.
CPS Nepal has sufficient reserves to continue. Fundraising activities have continued during this accounting period. The trustees are confident that CPS Nepal is able to continue to fulfil its objectives and activities as set out in its governing document.

Section B Disclosure
Only complete if the examiner needs to highlight matters of concern (see CC32, Independent examination of charity accounts: directions and guidance for examiners).
Give here brief details of any items that the examiner wishes to disclose .
The charity holds 18/24 months’ worth of reserves which for the year ended 31/03/2024 accounts is a balance of GBP 59,378 (net of cash in hand). This covers for the average operating costs of the charity and would do so if donations were at nil for over 2 years (donations will not be at nil).
I am therefore happy that the charity is in a strong position to continue.
