A5 a new large ministry are4 and as part of the diocesan programme for ministy ams in genernL we have been requtred
to take on registered charity statlls. Hoi*ever, we have inherited this status frorn St Cadoc's, which w&s already a
registered charity. and the terms of the charitable registration have been changed to embrnce the other churches with the
¢lertcd Ministy Ar¢a Council (legall> the B¢ll¢fic¢ PCC) serving ￿ tru5tee5.
The tnjstees present their report with tbe finat)cial statements of the chajity for the year ended 31 December 2023. The
trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting 2nd Reportltig by Clwities: Statement of Recommended Prdctice
applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Finamcial Reporting StsndwAI applicable iti the
UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effecuye I Sanuary 2019).

progress being made at the year ead. During the year. various necessary tepaits were conducted on Dne church, Holy
Trsnity. Despite Close monitoring, part of Holy Trilli￿S chllrchvard Wdll collapsed onto tlie highivay 2nd it will be fvlly
rep&ired durillg ?024.The trustees sold & grade two listed domestic properti. that belonged to Hoty Trinity because of the
increasitig required ci>sts to n)aintain iL
Beecbwood Ministy Area placed more of an empbasis in 2023 on c4)m]nunicatkOD through impn)ying the methods,
whether they be ele£tronic or noÉ.This h&s resulted in there beintw more eollabordtive events bettveen the six churches
and their communities. Such activitie5 included rnission and outreach where three of the five branches namely
Stewardship. Equality and Diversity'_w"elcoming all and Environmen4 Caring for God's creation were laullched with key
sp¢ak¢rs on each bT3ncb and further aCti￿ti45 followed as & resulL Addition414ciivities included churcb warm hub
dC￿entia frÉendly ecumenical projects. commwiiry coffe¢ ￿OrningS. pastoral visiting. children and young ￿ople being
involved in Th'orship and Community eventy, food bank collections: breakfast clubs, involvement in community garden
projects and the use of churcb buildings by secu]ar con]mullity group&
Public benefit
The trustees conftrni that they h&ve complied with their duty in section 17(5) of the Cbarities Act 2011 to have due
regard for public benefit .The object for which the cbarity ts establithed is to pn)mote tbe Gospel in line with the
teachings of the Chw¢h in Wales and the achieven]ents of the ChaTty in meeting these objects for 2023 hav6 been
sulljmarised in this report.

FUTURE PLANS
The trustees. as the Beechwood Ministry Area CouttciL ultimately make any major decisions with eaeb individual chU￿h
having a local church council responsible for Iwal ¢hurEh i￿UeS. the latter of wbich act as s￿￿coMmEtt¢es of the former.
Any significant decision5 made at local church council church level have to b¢ P8S>¢d to the Ministy Area Council.

Risk mallagement
Safety aml other procedures have been put ia place in the Churches of the Ministry Area. All risk and S￿ety related
pro¢edures required by th¢ ConstiDJtion of the Church in Wales ate in place across the Ministy Area. They are
mollltored by the Ministy Ar¢8 Coun¢il and its su1￿0[￿￿[ttees, and where needed, tsilornl to the individual churches
to meet local t￿ed.
The buildings are wider constant review and are always being improved and repaired . Some builditigs can be e4sily
repaired whilst other works need an architect resulting in specialist work betng ￿￿1¢￿ OUL UnfortwHfety, no lime limit
cart be put on any of the larger wokn but most relatively thillgs can be done quickly.
