As a n¢w large mintstsy are4 and as part of the di0¢￿8n programme formintsty areas in general, we have been required
to take on regi5E¢r¢d rharity Stat￿. However. we have inherited this Status from St Cadoc's, whi¢h was aIready a
registered charity, and the tern)s of the charttable re*ion have been cbanged to embrnce the other churehes with the
elected Ministy Area Council (legally the Benefice PCC) seTh￿8 w trust￿5.
The trustees present their report with the financial ststemenLS of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2022. The
trustees knv¢ 4dopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended PractiLe
applicable to charities preparing th¢sr accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the
UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (eff¢div¢ l January 2019).

This ongoing development is apparent within the Mini5ty Alta Council where we are getting to kno1¥ and under8t)nd
olle another bdt¢r and begitming to gel. This is pleasing to s¢e.The MiDi5ty Area co[￿¢11 have begun to have some
meaningful and collaboraiive deliberations and it l5 encouragin. to see the genernl generosity of spirit amongst
members, given the amount of trust we have had to pla¢¢ in ￿0P[e that perbaps did not previously kllow w¢ll. The
feeling around the Ministy Area is that we are the way forwarf slowly and deliberately going in the right directio

Beechwood was the first Ministy Area to be declared and forni￿ within the Diocese of Monmouth. The Ministy Area

Council have built ou this, worknng oll administration and process. although this is an ongoing task, and we are still

The trustees confirm that they have complied with their duty in section 17(5) of the Charities Act 2011 to have due
regard for public bellefit .The object for whicb the chariry As established is to promote the Gospel in line with the
teachillgs of the Chur¢h in Wales and the achtevenients of the Charity in m¢ettng these objects for 2022 bav¢ been

We have tried to keep all the wardeTJS inform¢d $0 that tho.. can do th¢ir job ¢ff¢dively, not only witb where to find
Resowces but also sbaring ide&s, tips and advice on differeni thin&s may arise.
As with the starting and getting off the ￿QuRd of anything ther¢ mavbe weaknesses but progr¢$5 beert made and a
more positivc outlook ig envisaged. Each Lo￿1 Warden in the Ministy Area knows that thev can contsct the Ministry
Area Wardens for supp)rt adYio¢, and guidan¢¢.
The second year will brillg wor¢ challengtiig situations but we are confident that the team that we have will not only be
equ4)ped for the challenges ahead but learn and grow iD their p)sitions and be the people God has clLosen them to be.

churches. In th¢ corning year it is to be hoped that we Will begin to engage with Jnissiutt togetber, ratber than separately.
and speciflcally with the DIoce￿n Vision ai it colllinues to be spelled by the Dio¢¢wi leadership. We are called to
grow and be the Good News in our communities.
Jn the Coming y¢ar, Fr William, the Rectorlminssty Area Lcader, intends to Visit each church to get to kttow the general
population a little better than has been wssible in this year of pulling woether the structures. It is hoped thaL whilst each
of our churches does indeed baye 8nd should have a focal minister, cow¢gations slwuld no]ketheless come to know
and be known by the several clergy we have Working amongst us.

Safety and other procedures have been put in place in the Churches of the Ministy Are& All risk and safety related
proecdurcg required bv ibe Constitution of the Chwcb in Wales a￿ in place across the Ministry Area. Th¢y are
onitored by the Mini5ty Area Council aod its sub-COrrit¢ee4 alld where neede¢ t2dored to the individual churches
to meet local need.
The buildings are under ¢oD8twt review and are alway5 being improved ond rep2ir¢d . Some buildtngs can be easily
repaired whilst otber works need an archFtect resultÈtig in specialist ￿'ork being carried out. Unfortt]nat¢ly, llo time limit
can be put on any of the Iw wot*s but mOSt reiativety small things can be done quickly.
