Jasper Van Es .7 young people made decisions to follow Jesus. Thank You We firstly want to say thank you. we are extreme- ly grateful to all our supporters both financial and prayér who enable us to réach the young people in k<ingsbridge through our various projects and clubs. Over this past year we have had 7 young people make some sort of first time decision to follow Jesus or say yes to wanting him to be a part of their lives We have seen many more make steps towards Jesus Minds are opening and hearts are being prepared, The Prlmary Focus for 2023-24 Kingsbridge Youth For Christ has achieved all of its goals set out for this year. This year wè had 5033 engagements with young people 2655 of those were with 11-18 year olds and 2378 or them were with under Il's. You can see that this numbèr of underll's has grown by almost 1000 since the previous year This is due to us now being In more primary schools regularly and Increasing our work In quite a few schools to Include clubs and les- sons. These 5033 engagements are across all of our projects and they vary In terms of sharing Jesus. Some of them will be regular one to one work in the secondary school where we do not overtly share our faith and some will be direct discipling of young people in our Christian Union and Bible studies. However. everything we do is to ultimately see young péoples lives transformèd by Jesus. Just because they might not say a big YES to Jesus now, I believe that God will keep pursuing them and sométhing of what we have said to them or shown them will stay with them We pray that God will bring others along In their journey to water the seeds that we have planted at this time. TRUSTEESkREPORT PROJECTS Limitless Festival 2023 Limitless Festival is a five-day Elim run Christian youth camp In Staffordshire Showground featuring daily gatherings for worship. word and ministry. a huge variéty of activities and fun games and other events throughout the day This was our second year of taking a group and we took 18 young people Some of whom had come the year before We once again held a prayer breakfast a few weeks before the trip at Kingsbridge Family Church We had a great morning, sharing about the success of the prévious yéar, worshipping and intentionally and expéctantly praying for each of the young péoplé who were going That they would meet with Jesus and havé théir lives complétély changed and transformed. 7411 Oné of the prayer activities that we did we took with us to Limitless and hung It up In our groups tent area so that thé young peoplè could sèè what had been prayed for them They could also add their own prayers to It If they wanted to We again created a daily prayer guide for the week so that the churches would be able to support the trip and we set up a prayer space on social media for regular prayer updates during the week. It was again, an amazing week14 young people made a decision to follow Jesus and all of them have followed up with us throughout the year getting Involved in Christian Union and all those 4 are coming back this year One of those young people got baptised at Easter. He had a real experience of Jesus. he realised how loved he was and we have seen him grow so much.

TRUSTEESkREPORT cu We have continued to run our CU this year It has been a privilege to journey through. for many of the young people. the foundations of faith as a lot had not grown up in church and are not familiar with the well known Bible sto ries •1 Each week we were getting questions like What is sin again?, And'why did Jesus have to die? We noticed that there was a bit of a divide in the spiritual maturity levels within the CU There were many who knew lots and needed some- thing more In depth and there were also many who didn't understand the basics of the Bible and following Jesus We made the decision to split the CU Into 2 different sessions for differ- ent ages/spiritual maturity levels. 4 i We have continued to do a CU social each half term, we have been trampolining, bowling, had a picnic orT Dartmoor and we attended the 24/7 prayer with Limitless mid year event In rediscov- er Exeter In February The place was absolutely packed full of young people all gathering to pray for their friends. families and this nation. UNITE We have continued to run a Unite Youth service pretty much every month during this year Each Unite Is held In a different church and consists of games, worship. a talk and some response time. While CU is great, we ultimately we want to get these young people integrated Into a local church family If they are not already a part of one. We would like to support the local church- es In their discipleship of young people and help the young people join those church fami- Each service we see between 10-20 young peo- ple attend. We have already started to do this at Kings- bridge Family Church and are wanting to ex- pand this wider over the next year

TRUSTEESkREPORT Office Move In October 23 we moved offices from'Horizons' at the top of Fore Street in Kingsbridge to the Kingsbridge Family Church office and we are so grateful to the family church for having us in their office It's great to be part of the commu- nity in there with Jonny Richmond (the pastor In training) and Pennie Sutton (the church coordinator) It's also very handy as we run a lot of our clubs in the basement area of the church. The Lounge The Lounge is our weekly youth club held in Kingsbridge Family Church from 7-8 30pm for school years 7-11 This year we have seen real growth in our youth club attendance and have consistently had over twenty young people attend each week. all year round The Lounge team is made up of 11 volunteers from local churches as well as Jasper and Becky Therè is table tennis. a pool table. an air hockey table. a gaming PC (which this year we got a grant from Kings- bridge Town Council to upgrade which was amazing). Nintendo switch. a tuck shop and an area to play games and chill. We also run some football with a soft ball upstairs in the main hall doing 4 a side to get some of the energy out and the young people really enjoy that Almost all of the young people that attend the club have no church background Each week one of the team will lead a God slot- a team game. a fun challenge or something similar. and an evangelistic talk sharing something of their testimony, the difference Jesus has made In their lives and God's heart for the young people that attend Several young people have responded throughout the year and now join us for our CU. This year we have had 62 individuals come through the door. And we see18-25 young people each week Ip li

We have also now set up a prayer team that will pray in Word Wise (a Christian bookshop on Fore Street in Kingsbridge) during the time we are out and we are looking forward to seeing what God does as we continue to develop the Friday nights.

TRUSTEESkREPORT The most importan t thing is that the children enjoy their time with us. as they are giving up their play- time. We want them to know Jesus really loves thém, and that in following Him they can feel safe. have fun and know they are precious in His sigh t.. Salcombe Church of England Prima We also support these schools through being a part of ETHOS and SIAMS meet- ings to shape the schoolwide delivery of Christian content and have enjoyed being invited to various school events (such as, Harvest. Christmas Celebrations and leav- ers services) throughout the year. In July 2023. we again delivered a series of school transition lessons to year 6 clas- ses to help them process their feelings and emotions around making the move to secondary school We delivered these lessons In 6 local primary schools, We have really seen this work grow and the need for this Increase We have seen real berTefits In getting to know these chil- dren before they move u p to secondary school and building relationships so that when they are In KCC they already know us, they trust us and It also Is some con- sistency for them. Prlmary Schools This year the work In primary schools has Increased greatly The primary schools are really keen to have us in more, running Bible lessons, clubs and extra support sessions for children who are struggling a bit more than others. We have also Increased the number of schools we regularly work with We are in Thurlestone Primary school regularly now and also Loddiswell pri- mary which is amazing as we have been praying to be a regular presence In that school for around 5 years. Also, it Is a privilegè to be able to share Bible stories and messages with the children during primary school because It hopefully saves us some work when they are Christian Union age This year we are wanting to ex- plore the possibility of getting a new worker join the team who will primarily be a primary schools worker but would also be Involved in the youth work side of things too. It is in the very early stages, but we would like to look into it. Salcombe Ethos Club-suzy Andrews 'This new lunchtime club grew out ofconversations and prayer over a number ofyears between Holy Trinity Salcombe (part of the Seaside Parish) and KYFQ The club lasts about 45minutes every Wednesday in Salcombe Primary School and includes games. songs. a Sible Story. a video and various creative acts'vities.

13 TRUSTEESkREPORT Rural Mlnlstrles Coordlnator and Youth Worker- Jasper Van Es I started in this role in January so have been in role for 3 months at the time of writing this. l am employed for 20 hours per week and my time is split between Kingsbridge Youth For Christ and Loddiswell Con- gregational Church What I do within my role with Loddiswell Congregational Church Is to primarily run a youth club in the village which provides a Jesus centred safe space for people within the ages of 11-16 to come and spend time with friends and èngage In activities The aim of which Is to give additional support to young people In Loddiswell and the surrounding area who may have difficult home lives or difficult situations in mainstream school and need a place where th ey can go to feel listened to a nd to socialise in a place separate from t he rest of their lives Within my work for KYFC I help run outreach each week on the KYFC bus to offer a space for young people to come and relax and have hot chocolates. which happens on Tuesday afternoons and Friday evenings l also help to run the Lounge youth club in Kingsbridge I help run the Bible study and Christian Union on Wednesdays where we dive a little deeper Into the more advanced theology In Christianity for those who have made the decision to follow Jesus and need some more guidance in how they can have an active relationship with Jesus In the rest of their lives On Fridays, I help to mentor two young chaps at Kingsbridge Community College, one in year seven and one in year élévén. And so far they have made a lot of progress and I will be taking on more people soon when they have been sup- ported enough. Following that I help to run the bus outreach from 8.'30-10.00. At oné of the Attic Youth clubs in Loddiswell we did a building challenge based on building your life on thè rock and not thé sand, and following that we did a five minute talk on God and the purpose of the evéning Following the talk we had oné young person who wanted to ask loads of questions and we ended up overrunning as thè group were so engaged in asking about how to live your life with faith In Jesus. She was orten one of the louder ones so to have her so éngaged in a philosophical conversation was so Inspiring and I could really see that she was taking the message on board as to how to live her life, and it was amazing to see that this little youth club was helping a young person to create their life philosophy which was inspired by Jesu¥s teachings.

At the ond of 2023-24. we have met all but one of the above aims as will be discussed below Firstly though. it is important to put the accounts into context. This year was one of transition as far as staffi n g was concerned After several yea rs with a full-time Centre Director (CO) & a part-time youth worker whose salary was covered by 2 supporting churches. the CD left & one of the 2 supporting churches ended their support by mutual agreement The youth worker. KYFC could not operate without the gener- osity of our many supporters, not only Individuals but also a large number of churches. mostly local to us. We are Incredibly grateful for this support & thank everyone who has contributed to KYFC funds in 202>4.
