Principal focus is the conservation and restoration of an ex WW1 light railway narrow gauge steam locomotive built by Hunslet of Leeds. We also hope to help educate about WW1, the light railways used and their influence, the general use of narrow gauge railways, the changes in British engineering influence around the world, traditional engineering skills, and the role heritage has in the UK today.
Objects: 1 To Preserve And Display, And To Restore, Use And Maintain The Artefact Or Artefacts Comprising The Trust Property2 Use The Property To Promote Public Knowledge Education, Appreciation And Understanding Of The Historical, Scientific And Cultural Aspects Of The Trust Property With Particular Regard To The Age Of The Artefacts And Their Historical Significance ('the Objects')3 In This Document The Words 'restore' And Preserve' Shall Have The Meanings Ascribed To Them In 'standards In The Museum Care Of Larger And Working Objects' Appendix C Paragraph 3 1994 Edition Published By The Museums And Galleries Commission
