**WISH 2020**
**Preparations for WISH 2020 progressed**
**rapidly, including the convening of**
**academic working groups to focus on**
**the developing six health reports which**
**were to launch at WISH 2020 and aimed**
**at influencing policy at a local, national**
**and international level. Reports covered**
**the following topics:**
**1. Building Healthy Societies**
**2. Health in the Climate Crisis**
**3. Realizing the Promise of**
**Immunotherapy**
**4. Safeguarding our healthcare**
**Systems**
**5. Stepping Up to the Place**
**6. The Digtal Mental Health Revolution**
**Due to the Covid pandemic, WISH 2020**
**went virtual with over 7500 registered**|
**delegates from over 180 countries, The event ran via a fully immersive 3D platform over five days. Keynotes for the event were given by Dr Tedros Adhanom, Dr Tom Catena and others. Health Security In 2020 a piece of work was commissioned to assess the opportunity for creating an institute of for Global Health Security. A consultancy piece would look at how such an endeavour could address gaps in existing policy responses and architecture of global health. Case studies were to be prepared and outline governance structure and costs. Corona Virus As part of the national effort to help update of vaccinations, 2 videos were commissioned to help inform the public of the merits of vaccinatiations and help dispel myths. The first video commissiond in November / December 2020 featured well known celebrities and were produced in a such a way that they were free for all health systems across the world to access for free. The video had the input of academics and clinicians and was launched by the NHS. It achieved a huge reach and has been nominated for and won a number of awards.**
