Minutes – 18.11.2025 AGM

In Attendance: Mrs Bull, Nicola, Sarah, Pauline, Rachel, Abbey, Mrs Docherty, Rebecca,

2 apologies absence Stacey and Lauren.

Rachel begins with apologies, as the meeting started slightly later than last year.

Recap of previous year to date events

Upscaled xmas and summer events. Santa this year is £500

Discussed financials – Panto is largest outgoing. £5.5k - £6.6k

Increased wristbands to £12 so hopeful to make more money

Summer fest £3.5k

6[th] Oct – Disco £623 profit

£886 13[th] Oct profit

Senior event was cancelled due to poor ticket sales.

Parents mingle postponed to early 2026.

Staff would prefer to hold both discos on the same night. Reduce time for younger years. It would save money. More efficient for everyone involved.

Discuss options for parents who wanted to put kids into teatime.

Supervision would be offered for the older kids

Sports day good earner Profit - £398

Pre loved uniform’s are operating well.

Most income comes from School Levy

Discussed why we keep using same entertainer, The guy was preferred as he reads the room and is nicer to listen to.

Forthcoming events:

Nov 2025 – July 2026

Quiz night – 13[th] March 2026 is good for fostering relationships between staff and parents.

What new items do the school need us to purchase? to be followed up on.

New ideas: Arts and crafts for Mother’s Day, making a card and gift to give to parents or grandparents.

It would be set up like a workshop, would need to look at timings, how would it work if the activities take time?

Another idea would be to purchase a gift instead of making one. Perhaps stick to one craft such as decorating a flowerpot.

Baker ross – paint different items, stone, coaster, with a card and cellophane.

Mother’s Day is 15.03.26

Discussed holding it in the studio instead of the school hall.

Tuesday 10[th] March was agreed for the arts workshop.

This will be a ticketed event on ticket source. To be sold for £10 - £12 each

Monday 15[th] June for Father’s Day workshop.

Perhaps look at making cookies in the future –

Parents looking at cooking workshop for parents.

School disco Monday 23[rd] March

Action to be confirmed for Seniors – Mrs Bull to relay to Mrs RS

For Summer fest – Look at better activities such as rodeo for the seniors. Perhaps offer a Senior corner. With different coloured wristbands

Takeaway: Colour run to be discussed.

£11k and £2k are the current balances in the business accounts. Every child will be taken to the panto and school cinema; this has already been paid for.

306 children in total

Co hair Pauline and Main chair Rachel appointed.

Discussion on starting afresh with a new Sum up account.

Perhaps look at streaming this on teams.
