The board oftrusteesaresatisfiedwiththeperformanceofthecharityduringtheyearand theposition
at30September2025andconsiderthatthecharityisin astrongpositiontocontinueitsactivities
duringthecomingyear,andthattheassetsareadequatetofulfil itsobligations.
Thecharityisopentotheusualfinancialrisksof any organisation,andthecharityhas introduced
controlstominimisetheserisks, suchastwosignaturebeingrequiredforpaymentsfromthebank
account,anappointeddeacon/pastorofthechurchisrequiredtoauthorisepaymentsforpurchases
andalsotheaccountsareregularlyexplainedtomembersofthecharityandareopenfor member's
inspectionat anytime.

Children and Vulnerable adults

Workwithchildrenandvulnerableadultsareopentorisks. Thepolicyisthatvisitation,counselingand
any workinvolvingchildrenandvulnerableadultsaredonebytrainedpersonswhowork inpairs.New
volunteerstothechildrenministryarerecruitedon thebasisofBaptistUnion'spolicyfortherecruitment
ofvolunteersforchildren'sministrywhich areinlinewithGovernment policy.

1 Accountingpolicies

Basisofpreparation

TheFinancialStatementshavebeenpreparedinaccordancewiththeCharitiesAct1993and withthe
FinancialReportingStandardforSmallEntities(FRSSE), andallotherapplicableaccounting
standards,effectiveJune2002,asmodifiedbytheStatementof RecommendedPracticeforAccounting
andReportingissuedbytheCharityCommissionersforEnglandandWales,effectiveOctober2000,
adaptedtomeettheneedsofunincorporatedorganisations.

Accountingconvention

TheFinancialStatementsareprepared,onagoingconcernbasis,underthehistoricalcostconvention.

Incomingresourcesareaccountedforonareceivablebasis.

Deferred Income

Inaccordancewiththestatementof RecommendedPracticeforAccountingandReportingissuedby
theCharityCommissionersforEngland&Walesgrants,receivedinadvanceandspecifiedbythe
donorasrelatingtospecificaccountingperiodsoralternativelywhicharesubjecttoconditionswhich
arestilltobe met aredeferredonanaccrualsbasistotheperiodtowhichtheyrelate.
Suchdeferralsareshowninthenotestotheaccountsand thesumsinvolvedareincludedascreditors
in thefinancialstatements.

Stocks

Stocksaremeasuredatthelowerofcostandestimatedsellingpricelesscoststocompleteandsel.

Managementandadministrationcostsrepresentexpenditureincurredinthemanagementofthe
Chanity'sassets,organisationaladministrationandcompliancewiththecharitableandstatutory
requirements.

Allocation of costs within types ofresources expended

The charitysoperatingcostsincludestaffcosts,rentandotherrelatedcosts.Suchcostsareallocated
betweentypesofresourcesexpendedonthebasisofestimatesmadebythetrustees.
Administrationexpenditureincudesallexpenditurenotdirectlyrelatedtodirectcharitableacivity.in
respectofcertainitemsofexpenditureitisamatterof judgementastowhethersuchitemsaredirect
charitableexpenditureoradministrative,andthetrusteeshaveappliedwhattheyconsidertobe
reasonablejudgementinapportioningsuchcosts.
TheCompanies Act1985requiresalpropertiesbelongingtocompaniestobedepreciated.However,
thisrequirementconflictswiththegenerallyacceptedprinciplesetoutinSSAP19andtheoverriding
requirementtoshowatrueandfairview.TheBoardof Trusteesconsidersthatbecausethepropertyis
notheldforconsumption,butforitsinvestmentpotential,todepreciateit wouldnotgiveatrue andfair
view,andthatalthoughthecharityisexemptfromthefullapplicationofSSAP19,andhasnothada
formalprofessionalvaluation,ofthepropety,buthasreliedonthebestoftheboardofthemarket
value,inordertoconservefundsforthecharitablepurposesofthecharity.
Ifthispolicyhadnotbeenadopted,thedeficitforthefinancialyearwouldhavebeenincreasedby
depreciation.However,theamountofdepreciationcannotreasonablybequantifedbecause
depreciationisonlyone of manyfactorsreflectedintheannualvaluationand theamounttowhichmight
otherwisehavebeen showncannotbeseparatelyidentified.
