TheAnnual Report of the Truro Community Propety Trust
Year ending September 2024
Charity Number 1136731.
We have as usual provided the RBL Poppy Appeal with the necessary space to run a
very successful appeal, and we have also provided meeting rooms for the local RBL
Truro branch to hold its meetings, allowing us to fulfil part of our overall brief.
Other organization and groups who have benefrted from Trust donations are the
children's New Years Fireworks party, which included a free snack or drink for each
child. Great fun this year, when it went ahead after some doubt. The friends of Sunny
Corner for continued work to enhan￿ the Spa￿ used by the general public, really
great organization who make the area so attractive and welcoming. Truro Squash club
to provide more sports equipment. Cornwall Dan￿ Club a donation towards new
uniforms, they provide fun for all generations young and old. Truro in Bloom who we
love working with. This year they installed a new fence at a local wood used by all. A
number of schools including Penair, Bosvigo, and St Marys who all received donation
for Christmas cheer and towards helping the children from not so well-off families enjoy
a real Christmas. Truro Old Boys received donations for some ongoing work.
It's been a hard year for all organizations, and we hope that our donation in a small
way have helped.
We have also had to cover some large costs to provifjé a new water main to one of our
properties. The Old Grammar School is finally up and running but once again at some
considerable cost. Our buildings do cost a lot of time and money to maintain and run,
but in turn they provide the funds for us to be able to give donation to a large and
varied number of organizations.
Once again, we believe that the Trust has fulfilled its chartable aims and we as
Trustees look forward to another busy year.
