|Summary of the main<br>activities in relation to those<br>purposes for the public<br>benefit, in particular, the<br>activities, projects or<br>services identified in the<br>accounts.|Para 1.17 and<br>1.19|This year We Can Dance have provided<br>dance lessons costing £27,655 equating to<br>over 1,100 hours to 18 schools.<br>In addition we have provided T Shirts with<br>Logo, Ballet shoes, paid exam fees,<br>provided certificates and medals and props<br>totalling £3590.<br>We held fundraising events towards the<br>cost of these lessons and other supplies<br>namely:-<br>• Ascot Ladies Day<br>• Entries to the Great North Run<br>We also applied for and were awarded<br>grants from the following benefactors:-<br>• Tesco<br>• Teesside Charity<br>• Mark / Allertonshire Masonic Charity<br>• National Lottery<br>• Boshier Hinton Trust<br>• Moto Foundation<br>• Thirsk Lions<br>• Darlington Lions<br>• Rank Foundation<br>• Brunton Trust<br>• EE Lawler Foundation<br>In addition we held a Training Day for our<br>current teachers and several others who<br>were potential new recruits. This was run by<br>the Northern Ballet (Leeds) and was<br>extremely successful|
