To advance education in the social sciences in particular but not exclusively through research (the useful results of which will be disseminated for the public benefit). The Trust therefore aims to provide a new avenue for scholars from around the world to focus their efforts in the social sciences within a sympathetic framework.The Trust operates the Institute for the Study of Indentureship.

Objects: To Advance Education In The Social Sciences In Particular But Not Exclusively Through Research (The Useful Results Of Which Will Be Disseminated For The Public Benefit), The Exchange Of Information And The Scholarly Publication Of Books And Journals With The Aim Of Improving The Public's Knowledge, Action And Understanding In Moral, Social And Economic Issues (Which Will Include The Issues Of Poverty, War, Peace And Injustice)
