this report. The charity h35 taken the Charity Commi55ion's public benefit guidance into account when making any decision to
which it is relevant.

Education:
Scholarshi
Alongside its Sister charities ILIFE Beirut, LIFE France, LIFE Suisse, LIFE Generatiorb Australia and LIFE Generation USA), the charity
has enrolled 164 new students in the 202312024 EduGltion programme. includin£ 22 solely by the charity. Adding the continuing
Students, the 202312024 int3ke was the biggest cohort since the inception of the programme with 425 student5 enrolled in the
LIFE Education programme, including 91 supported by the charity.
80% of the students are attending Lebanese urbiveT5itie5. ifb line with the Charity'5 direct re5pon5e tu the ever-ri5ing Ioc31 needs.
2023 was a150 marked by the increase of the 5cholar5hip award for students based in Lebanon. The tru5tee5 have decided to
increase by c. 33% the financial aid to students in Lebarbon. a5 3 direct re5POll5e to the devaluation of the Lebanese Pound that
took place in February 2023.
70% of our students are pursuing STEM Studies (Science. Techrhology. Engirheering and Mathernatkcsl. in lirhe with our Strategy to
expand the diversity of the LIFE member5 of tomorrow.

shOW￿$e uriiting Lebariese designers and artisans. Thi5 unique Lullettion of 61 pieces was specially coininissioned for LIFE arid
curated by Almaz Collectible Design in partrbership with The Ready Hand.
Tlie collectioii included furniture. ceramics. tapeslries, li8hiin8 and decorative objects. of which 40 are sin8le-edition pieces. All
piece5 have been generou51y donated to the charity by the de5igner5

contribute financially to the production costs of each piece.
The success of the evening Showcased the incredible dedication and commitmerbt of our network to uplift and empower Lebanese
youth through higher education.
The Drosos Grant:
The Chariry was awarded a Sim grant to be dlsbur5ed over 3 years, from the Drosos Foundatlon, to suppory c.15 Mlcro, Small and
Medium Enterprises IMSMEs1 and 40+ students in the 8reen and a8rIcultu￿ sertors. This 8rant includes..
2 years of assistance per MSME includin8 Financial and Technical Assistance,. LIFE mentor,. Access to the LIFE network
Internship with LIFE scholars.

The Tru5tee5 would like to gratefully acknowledge the significant amount of time and energy donated by volunteers. Thi5 input
greatly asslsts LIFE Generation Limited to deliver its aspiration as stated in its objertives.
Reserves policy
It 15 the policy of the charity to keep 6 months running costs to cover salaries and any other operational costs in case the charity is
wound up. This amounts to £200,000. At the year end, LIFE Generation has free reserves of £1,137,286.
Remaining reserves are available for unexpected expenditure. particularly irb years where there is no rn3jor fundraising event such
as the Gala Dinner.
Principal risks and uncertainties
The Trustee5 have identified and reviewed the major ri5k5 to which the charity iould be exposed. Sy5tem5 to rnitigate the ri5k5
identified have been established where appropriate. The prirhcipal risk LIFE Generation face5 lie5 irh future income 5tream5 being
threatened by changes in the external donor environment. The Board of Trustees carefully identiPie5 and rnanage5 prospect poo15
to ensure it 15 targeting those who have capacity to give. Additionally. an ongoing programme of high quality 5teward5hip 15 Iri
place 50 that LIFE Generation retain5 3 relationship with donor5 who may be approached in the future. Furbdraising propositions
are subject to continual review to ensure they are relevant and attractive in a changing market.

In auditing the financial Statements, we have concluded that the Tru5tees' use of the going concern basis of accounting in the

individually or collectively, may cast significant doubt on the charity's ability to continue as a going concern for a period of at least

1.2 Going concern
The charity held its first Gala dinner in November 2023 Since November 2019 dup to COVD-19. Thi5 wa5 historically, the main
Fundraising event of the charity. During the year5 where a gala w35 not held. the charity wa5 able to create a loyal grgup of
donor5, who have been very Benerou5 arbd are recommittin8 for 2024. The Iharity therefore ha5 a good visibility of the incorne
for 2024. Thus, the Trustees conlinue to adopt the 80in8 concern basis of accountin8 in preparin8 the financial statements.
1.3 Charitable fund5
General funds are unre5trirted fund5. available for use at the discretion of the Tru5tee5 irh furtherance of the general gbjective5
of Llie charily. Designated funds cornprise lunds which have been sel aside at Llie discret￿0￿ of the Trustees for specific
purposes. The purposes and uses of the designated funds are set out in the notes to the financial statements.
Restricted funds are subject to specific conditions by donors as to how they niay be used. The purposes aiid uses of tlie
restricted funds are set out in the notes to the financial statements.
1.4 Incoming resources
Income 15 reco8ni5ed when the charity is le8ally entitled to it after arby performance corhditions have been rnet, the amounts
can be measured reliably. and it is probable that income will be ￿Ceived.
Cash donations are recogni5ed on receipt. Other donations are recogni5ed once the charity has been notified of the donation,
unle55 performance conditior15 require deferral of the arnount. Income tax re￿Verable in relation to donation5 received under
Gift Aid or deeds of covenant is recognised at the time of the donation.
Donated Services or facilities are recognised when the charity has control over the item, any conditions a550ciated with the
donated item have been met, the receipt of economic benefit from the use by the charity of the item is probable and that
economic benefit can be measured reliably.
On receipt, donated professional services and donated facilities are recognised on the basis of the value of the Rift to the
charity which is the amount the charity would have been willing to pay to obtsin services or facilities of equivalent economic
benefit on the open mark8t,- a correspondin8 amount IS then recognised in expenditure in the period of receipt.
Gala event irbcorne 15 that recognised on ticket5. auctiorb sale5 and dorbatlOn5. Ticket sale5 are recognised upon receipt of ticket
funds. Auction sales are reco8nised when the auction sales and proceeds are deemed to be collertable. Donations are
recognised in line with the policies above.

1.5 Resource5 expended
Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation to transfer economic benefit to a third party, it is
probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in 5ettlemerbt arbd the amount of the obligation can be measured
reliably. Direct costs are allocated directly to the charity's sirbgle activity.
Support costs are those costs incurred directly in support of expenditure on the objects of the charity. Governance costs are
Lhose incurred in corbnection with administration of the company and compliance with constitutional and statutory
requirements.
Grants payable comprise scholarship payments and other donations directly related to the objects of the charity.
Grant5 payable are charged in the year when the offer is conveyed to the recipient. Grant5 offered Subject to condition5 are
recognised in the period those conditions ale met. priorto thi5 they are noted as a commitment but rhot accrued as
expenditure.
1.6 Financial instruments

instruments are initially ￿tOgniSed at transaction value and subsequently measured at their settlement value.
1.7 Employee benefits
The cost of any unused holiday entitlement is recognised in the period in which the employee's services are received.
Termination benefit5 are recogni5ed immediately a5 an expense wherb the charity 15 dernon5trably comrnitted to terminate the
employment of an employee or to provide termination benefits.
1.8 Retirement benefrts
Payments to defined contribution retirement benefit schemes a￿ char8ed as an expense as they fall due.
1.9 Foreign exchange
Monetary a55et5 and liabilities denominated in foreign ojrrencies are trarhslated into sierling at rates of èxchangp ruling at the
balance sheet date.
rransactions in foreign currencies are translated into sterlirbg at the rate ruling on the date of the transaction.
Exchange gains and 1055e5 are recogni5ed in the ststement of financial activitie5 incorporatirig income and expenditure
account.
Crltlcal accountin8 estimates and judgements
In the application of the charity's aicounting policies. the Trustees are required to make judgements. estimates and
a55umptior15 about the carrying arrbount of assets and liabilitie5 that are not readily apparerht from other 50urce5. The
estimate5 and a550Eiated 355umptlOn5 are based on historiol experienie and other factors that are considered to be relevant.
Actual result5 may differ from these estimate5.
The estirnates and underlying a55umptions are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Revi5iOllS to a¢¢ounting estimates are reiognised
in the period in which the estimate 15 revised where the revision affects only that periijd. or in the period of the revision and
future pcriods where the revision affect5 both current and future periods.
