Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subject to audit under Company law and is eliglble for Independent

Company Informatlon
Acts Community Church is 8 private company limited by guarantee incorporated in England and Wales. The
registered off￿e Is 236-237 East Road, Tylorstown, RCT, CF43 30A.
1,1 Ac¢ountlng conventlon
These accounts have been prepared in accordance with FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland I'FRS 102.1, 'Accounling and Reportlng by Charities" tre
Statement of Recomrnended Practice for charities applying FRS 102, the Companie5 Act 2006 and UK
Generally Acc8Pted Accountin9 Practice as it applies from 1 January 2015. The charity is a Public Benefit
EnlSty as defined by FRS 102.
The accounts have departed from the Charities IApxount5 and Reportsl Regulations 2008 only lo the extent
requiréd to provide a true and fair view. This departure has involved following the Slalement of
Recommended Practice for charities applying FRS 102 rather than the verslon of Ihe Statemènt of
Recommended Practs'ce which is referred to in the Regulations but whlch has since been withdrawn.
The accounts are prepared in sterling, which is the functlonal currency of the Company. Monetary amounts in
these financial statements are rounded lo the nearest £.
The accounts have bèen prepared on the historlc81 cost convendon, modified lo include the revaluation of
freehold properties and lo include investment propertles and certain financial instruments al fair value. Tha
principal accounting pollches adoptéd are set out below.
1.2 Golng Goncern
Al the lime of approving the accounts, the director have a reasonable expectation that the charlty has
adequate resources lo continue in operational existencé for the foreseeable future. Thus lh8 directors
continue to adopt the going concern basis ol accounting preparing the 8ccounts,

Unrestricted funds are available for use al the discretion of the director in furtherance of their charllabl8
objectives unless the funds have been designated for other purposes.
R8slrlcted funds are subject lo specific conditions by donors as to how Ihey may be used. Tha purposes and
uses of the restricted funds are set out in the nol88 to the accounts.
Endowment funds arè subject to specific conditions by donors that the capital must be maintalned by the
charlty.

Cash donations aré recognised on receipt. Olher donations are recognised once the charity has been notified
of the donation. unless performance conditions require deferral of the arnounl. Income lax recoverable in
relation lo donation¥ received under Gift or deed5 of covenant is recognised at the tsme of Ihe donation.
Legacies are recognised on receipt or otherwise il the ch8nty has been notified of an impending dlstdbutton,
the amount is known, and receipt is expected. If the amount Is not known, the legacy is treated as a
contingent asset.
1.5 Resources expended
Income and expenses are included in the financial statements as they become receivable or due.
Expenses include VAT where applicable a5 the company cannol reclaim it.

Cash and cash equivalents include cash in hand, deposits held at call wllh banks, other short-term liquid

Basic financlal assets
Basic financial assets, which include trade and other receivables and cash and bank balances, are initially
measured at transaction price including transaction costs and are subsequently carried at amortised cost
using the effective interest method unless the arrangement constitutes a financing ITansaction, where the
transactlon is measured al the present value of the future receipt5 discounted al a market rate of interesl.

Company Informatlon
Acts Community Church is 8 private company limited by guarantee incorporated in England and Wales. The
registered off￿e Is 236-237 East Road, Tylorstown, RCT, CF43 30A.
1,1 Ac¢ountlng conventlon
These accounts have been prepared in accordance with FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland I'FRS 102.1, 'Accounling and Reportlng by Charities" tre
Statement of Recomrnended Practice for charities applying FRS 102, the Companie5 Act 2006 and UK
Generally Acc8Pted Accountin9 Practice as it applies from 1 January 2015. The charity is a Public Benefit
EnlSty as defined by FRS 102.
The accounts have departed from the Charities IApxount5 and Reportsl Regulations 2008 only lo the extent
requiréd to provide a true and fair view. This departure has involved following the Slalement of
Recommended Practice for charities applying FRS 102 rather than the verslon of Ihe Statemènt of
Recommended Practs'ce which is referred to in the Regulations but whlch has since been withdrawn.
The accounts are prepared in sterling, which is the functlonal currency of the Company. Monetary amounts in
these financial statements are rounded lo the nearest £.
The accounts have bèen prepared on the historlc81 cost convendon, modified lo include the revaluation of
freehold properties and lo include investment propertles and certain financial instruments al fair value. Tha
principal accounting pollches adoptéd are set out below.
1.2 Golng Goncern
Al the lime of approving the accounts, the director have a reasonable expectation that the charlty has
adequate resources lo continue in operational existencé for the foreseeable future. Thus lh8 directors
continue to adopt the going concern basis ol accounting preparing the 8ccounts,
1.3 Charitable funds
Unrestricted funds are available for use al the discretion of the director in furtherance of their charllabl8
objectives unless the funds have been designated for other purposes.
R8slrlcted funds are subject lo specific conditions by donors as to how Ihey may be used. Tha purposes and
uses of the restricted funds are set out in the nol88 to the accounts.
Endowment funds arè subject to specific conditions by donors that the capital must be maintalned by the
charlty.

the amounts can be measured reliably, and it is probable that income wlll be r8ceived.
Cash donations aré recognised on receipt. Olher donations are recognised once the charity has been notified
of the donation. unless performance conditions require deferral of the arnounl. Income lax recoverable in
relation lo donation¥ received under Gift or deed5 of covenant is recognised at the tsme of Ihe donation.
Legacies are recognised on receipt or otherwise il the ch8nty has been notified of an impending dlstdbutton,
the amount is known, and receipt is expected. If the amount Is not known, the legacy is treated as a
contingent asset.
1.5 Resources expended
Income and expenses are included in the financial statements as they become receivable or due.
Expenses include VAT where applicable a5 the company cannol reclaim it.

The gain or loss arising on the disposal of an asset Is determined a5 the dlfference bet￿en the sale
proceeds and the carrying value of the asset, and is recognised in net incomellexpendilurel for the year.

Al each reporting end date, the charity reviews the carrying amounts of ils tangible and intangible asset8 to
determine whether there is any indication that those as5els have suffered 8n Impairment loss. It any such

Recoverable amount is the hlgher of falr valué less costs lo sell and value In use. In assessing value In use,
Ihe eslimaled future cash flows are discountèd lo their present value using a pre-tax discount rate that reflects

1.8 Cash and cash equlvalents
Cash and cash equivalents include cash in hand, deposits held at call wllh banks, other short-term liquid
invastmenls with original maturities of three months or less, and bank overdrafts. Bank overdrafts are shown
within bOrrO￿ngS in current liabilities.
Basic financlal assets
Basic financial assets, which include trade and other receivables and cash and bank balances, are initially
measured at transaction price including transaction costs and are subsequently carried at amortised cost
using the effective interest method unless the arrangement constitutes a financing ITansaction, where the
transactlon is measured al the present value of the future receipt5 discounted al a market rate of interesl.

Basic financial liabilities, including trade and other payables, are initially r&cognised at transaction price

carried al amortised cost, using the effective interest rate method.
Trade payables are obligations to pay for goods or services that have been acquired In the ordinary course of
operations from suppliers. Accounts payabla are classified as current liabilities if payment is due within one

estimates and assumptions about the carrying amount of assets and liabilities that are not readily apparent
from other sources. The estimates and assoclaled assurnplions are based on historical experlence and other
factors that are considered to be relevant. Actual results may differ from these eslimates.
The estirnales and underlying assumpt￿On5 are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Revisions to accounting
estimates are recognised in the period in which the e5timat8 is revised wher8 the revision affects only that
period, or in the period of thè revision and future perlods where tho revislon affects both current and future
periods.
