The directors present their report and financial ststements for the year ended 29 June 2024.
Principal activitlos
The company's principal activity during the year continued to be charitsble work to help
disadvantsged children in India.
Ramvij - Origln8 and Misslon
We were inspired to set up our charity, ramvlj, by the memory of our grandfather, Ramhai Patel. He
was known as the Prince of Baroda { Baroda is a city in the north-western state of Gujarat in Indla ).
Our grandfather was accorded his princely status because of his generous heart and care for those
in need around hlm. He invited who arrived on his doorstep to enter hls home, treating them as a
member of his family, and feeding them as much as they wanted until they could eat no more.
Homelessness, the struggle to survive and lack of opportunity exist today in India just as they did in
our grandfather's day. Ramvij's mission is to further our grandfather's legacy by raising funds to
support directly projects that help abandoned and needy children - by giving them shelter, food, and
educational opportunities that will improve their life prospects.
At the moment Ramvij ralses funds only through famlly and frlends, who mostly donate on sea
monthly basis. Ramvij also holds charity events, such as the Mehfil nights, which bring in additional
fundraising. Because the charity is run entirely by family members and friends giving their time free
of charge, there are currently no administration costs.. 1000/0 of the funds raised are used directly to
help the children.

Achievements and Goal8
Over the past nine years Ramvij has raised over £118,000 which has b88n us8d for a number of key projects In
Gujarat, prlncipally associated with Kasturba Sevashram (il.
We reached our first fund raising goal on 1 March 2008 by supplying mattress￿ wlth plllow8 and covers for
the chlldren at the Kasturt)a Sevashram, whlch glves hundred8 of abandon8d ¢hIld￿n a home.
By 1 January 2009 Ramvij had also been able to achleve Its second goal of •upplylng 376 metal bunk ￿d8
wlth mo8qulto net8 for the chlldren at the ashram.
From 2014, Ramvll commltted to Improvlng the chlldren'8 8ducallonal and lob pr08pect8 by provldlng computer
equlpmant and teachlng. We are proud to have b88n th8 fir8t agency lo provide computer lessons in the
a8hram8 81tuated In the rural vlllages, and also to 8UPPOrt the Adlvasl {11) chlldr8n wlth modern technology.
Ramvll has fundod the creatlon of computer room• al each of the four ashrams and has commlttod to
provldlng computlng tultlon at a cost of £2,200 pa over the next thr66 year8.
From 2014115, In response to an Increa8e In sludent number8, Ramvlj ha8 a180 funded the creatlon of
addltlonol and oxpandod computer room8 In the a8hram8 a8 well a8 a teachar with a 8alary of £4,520 pa.

see what computer skllls they have learned. W& were d8llghted thal Ih8y had mad8 very good progr888, b88rlng
In mlnd thal a few years back some of them were loo scared to even touch the computers, fearlng that they
would break them.
R8mvlJ has also r818ed money for several wooden tabl88 and bonch•8, each geatlng slx chlldren. Thé c08t for
each 88t Is £25, whlch Is for18bour and sundry mater1818 only as the ashram Is provldlng the wood.
Towards the end of 2015, R8mvll provlded funds to help the ashram to ronovate the dlnlng area• In Maroll and
Ambawadl,
In order to develop the chlldren'8 educatlon further, and Increa8e thelr future opportunltle8, Ramvll 18 a180
fundlng tho teachlng of Engll•h In all four of the a8hr8ms. There was a slow start but over the past SIX months
there ha8 been very Impresslve progre88. The 8alary co8t18 approxlmately £2,700 pa,
By the last quarter of 2017, we had ralsed enough funds to bulld a cow 8heltsr { Dhenoo Glrgaushala ) and
purcha80 15 Glr (111) cows. Thls means we are now able to provide mllk to three out of four ashrams.
Our goal for 2018 wa8 to Increa•e the number of cow8 to 30 for the ex18tlng cow 8h8lter, then In 2019 to
double th18 to a total of 60 cow8 Includlng addltlonal cow shelter needs. Thls wlll mean that we should be able
to provide mllk two times a day to all of the children in all four of the ashrams and have surplus milk to sell to local
dairles to generate Income lo meet expenses, Due to COVID our normal actlvStles have slowed down, however
we are very busy wlth supportlng to supply food packages to famllles wrth klds whom have no financial support.

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Company for the year ended 29 June
2024.

As the charity's trustees of the Company (who are also the directors of the company for the purp08e8 of compant
law ), you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the
Companies Act 2006 ("the 2006 ACY,).
Having satisfied myself that the accounts of the Company are not required to be audited for this year under Part
16 of the 2006 Act and are eligible for independent examination. I report in respect of my examination of your
charity's accounts as carried out under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011 ("the 2011 Act"). In carrying out my
examination, I have followed the Directons given by the Charity Commission {undar section 145(5){b) of the 2011
Act.
