Trustees report for year 1 July 2024 — 30" June 2025

Trustees Richard Bonfield Permanent Ordinary Trustee Secretary and Registered contact at the Charity Commission Keith Guabert retired due to III health as Permanent Ordinary Trustee Michael Boothman appointed Permanent ordinary Trustee 8° October 2024 Timothy Mason Past President Trustee

Paul Darling President Trustee David Grant Senior Vice President Trustee

Sadly, Keith Guabert died in April 2025 having served as a Trustee since the Trust was formed in April 2010.

The accounts for year end reflect an increase in income mainly through the successful Swimathon held in March 2025 — a record £17,909 was raised. Other successful events included the annual Barn Dance and Police choir evening jointly raising £1802. The club also received donations for ShelterBox and the Memory Café

In accordance with the objects of the Trust donations were made to both International and local Charities some of which support disadvantaged children giving them the opportunity for a short holiday. The Trust also covers the cost of meals at meetings of Young Carers. Donations have been made to local schools to support projects for the benefit of their pupils. The club’s Memory Café serves an important need whereby Carers and those with dementia can enjoy time together for fun and laughter being provided by professional performers.

The Trustees were pleased to make a substantial donation of £3000 to the Jessie May Trust which provides palliative care for terminally ill children in their own home. Also £2000 to the Bath & Bristol Motor Neurone Society ( MND) which supports people and their families that suffer from this awful disease.

Small donations (max £250) have been made to various groups to support the work they do in the community such as “Portishead in Bloom “with plant displays, hanging baskets etc throughout Portishead.

A successful year where the Trustees are now looking forward in making a positive difference to people’s lives in the current Rotary year.
