**Activities:** HCUK works to raise awareness and to educate the public and the medical profession about  heartburn, reflux, Barrett's Oesophagus, oesophageal adenocarcinoma, cardia and related diseases. It provides facilities for the detection and treatment of such diseases, promotes research into causes, prevention, treatment and cure. It supports people suffering from symptoms and also post-operative.
