Welcome address and Reporting
Respected members, volunteers, parents, and guardians,
We are delighted to inform you that our long-standing vision of addressing the educational needs of girls in rural communities has now reaching to fruition. The project has officially commenced, marking a significant milestone in our collective efforts.
I extend my sincere gratitude to each of you for your unwavering support in our shared mission to combat illiteracy and expand access to quality education.
As in previous years, we have delivered a range of teacher training programmes both in the United Kingdom and internationally, with a particular focus on educators working in rural and underserved areas. This year, special emphasis has been placed on the “I do, We do, You do” pedagogical approach. Under this structured methodology, teachers first model concepts, then collaboratively engage with students to reinforce understanding, and finally enable students to work independently and silently.
This approach has resulted in notable improvements across all subject areas, with students demonstrating increased confidence and strengthened skills in attentive listening, observation, and problem-solving.
Furthermore, tangible progress has been made towards the establishment of a dedicated girls’ school. The preparatory phase is now underway, and we are optimistic that, in the coming months, increasing numbers of girls will be enrolled and benefit from formal education. In collaboration with like-minded partner organisations, we have also succeeded in acquiring a school bus to facilitate safe transportation for students, particularly girls.
Nevertheless, the demand for additional transport remains critical, and we will continue to actively pursue solutions to address this ongoing need.
In Birmingham, raising academic attainment among students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) remains a key priority. The impact of providing a few additional hours of targeted learning support has been remarkable, and we are committed to building upon these successes.
In closing, we respectfully invite you to continue working closely with us so that together we may enable more girls to pursue higher education and support EAL learners and students from disadvantaged backgrounds in achieving their full potential.
Thank you once again for your time and for your continued commitment and generosity in supporting this vital work.
Yours sincerely, Kind regards
Ozair Akhtar
