|During|this year the main ways
in which the church has sought to fulfil the|
|---|---|
|calling|ofChrist upon
it have been as follows:|
|~|Preaching,
teaching
and showing
practical care in the community.|
||This was achieved
through the normal teaching
ofthe church on|
||Sunday
morning
and evening,
midweek,
and also by running
occasional church membership
courses to address
practical and|
||theological
issues from a Christian
viewpoint.
This includes the|
||ordained
and licensed Presbyterian
minister
being on call twenty-|
||four hours a day to meet any emergency
Spiritual needs such as|
||being
in hospital.|
|~|Sharing the good news about the love ofChrist through
church|
||members
participating
in and supporting
local activities
in Solihull,|
||practicing the ethos ofbeing the salt and the light,|
|~|Since September 2021 we were again able to worship
in a|
||building
at Tudor Grange Academy
in Solihull. Previously
the|
||church met outside
in the park just behind the building we|
||worshipped
in before lockdown.|
|~|Providing
financial,
practical and prayer support to individuals
and|
||organisations
seeking to advance the gospel ofChrist overseas.|
|~|We were able to provide financial
support to churches
in Hungary,|
||who helped those who fled from the Ukraine.|
|~|The minister was instrumental
in several ways to support those|
||who are ill and/or
bereaved,
which was especially needed
during|
||periods oflockdown.|
