The object% ar¢ to advance the Dacapo approach to music education and appreciation for childreii and adults in the United
Kingdoiii. This will be achieved through fainily music centres, in school and out of SLhool Workshops aiid projects and also
through a comprehensive teacher training programme.
Public benefit
The Dacapo Muqic Foundation Limited meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities
are initially recognised at historical cost or trans1< Ction value unlesb OtheNise stated in the relevant accounting policy notes.
The trustees conlirm that Ihey have referred io the guidance conlained in the Charity Commission's geiieral guidance on
public beiietil when reviewing the chariiy's aims and objeclives and in planning future activities.

R¢s¢rves policy
The reserves policy of The Dacapo Music Foundation has been revtewed by the Board of Truslees. li is the intention of ihe
directors to incre(i%e unrestricted re4erve8, in the medium terin, to a level of approxim(itely half a term of U%U£il con]pany
expenditure, currenily £45,000. Curreni reserves fall below the level determined and the truslees are aLutely aware of the
need to improve profitability. Dacapo has been looking closely at ways of both reducing ils operating costs and improvin
its incoine wilh a view lo iinproving overall protilabilily. Duriiig Ihe year, Dacapo outsourced t'undraising to Vantage
FundTaising lo support grant applications. Whilst this has eiiabled the Tale of applications to b¢ si¥nificatbily illCTeased,
disappointingly. there hav¢ currently been only a small number of iucces%ful applications.
The Trustees have assessed the major risks to ivhich the charity is exposed and are satisfied that systems are in place to
mitigale exposure to these risks. The reserves policy is kept under regular review.
Going concern
The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis as the trustees believe that no Inaterial uncertainties
exist. The trustees hawe considered ihe level of funds held and the expecied level ol. income and expenditure lor 12 months
froin authorising these financial statements. The budgeted income and expenditure is sutficieiit with the level ot" reserves,
and the support of a bank" overdraft, for the charitable cornpany to be able to continue as a going conLern.

The charitable Loinpany benefilted frc)In the Government coronavirus support by arranging a Bounceback Loan to assist
with workingF capital rknquircmcnts during this diffiLult pcriod. Tliis has bccn partl¢illy drawn down.
