**Objects:** TO RELIEVE PEOPLE WHO ARE ELDERLY OR ISOLATED IN IVYBRIDGE AND SURROUNDINGCOMMUNITY BY THE PROVISION OF VOLUNTEER BEFRIENDERS AND BY THE PROVISION OF SUPPORTAND TRAINING FOR THE VOLUNTEERS. TO AID THE CARERS OF THOSE PEOPLE IN THE COMMUNITY WITH PHYSICAL OR MENTAL IMPAIRMENTBY OFFERING A RESPITE SERVICE THROUGH THE PROVISION OF VOLUNTEER BEFRIENDERS TO OFFER A 'SITTING SERVICE'.

**Activities:** Befriending group supporting Elderly/isolated people in Ivybridge & its Parishes by regular visits, support shopping, taking for walks/ short outings, some practical help, also 'sitting service' to allow Spouse/carer regular break.Ivybridge Caring Volunteers run Ivybridge Memory Cafe  providing speakers, quizzes and a sociable atmosphere for people with Dementia.
