Annual Report

2020-2021

Nene Valley Methodist Circuit

Charity no. 1135896

The Circuit

The circuit consists of 7 churches (8 buildings) with one Class. Our churches are situated in the towns of Higham Ferrers/Rushden, Irchester, Irthlingborough, Raunds, Wellingborough and the villages of Earls Barton, Wollaston and Yelden. The circuit is committed to worship, learning and caring, service and evangelism. There is good support between the Church communities with a growing sense of belonging to one another across the circuit.

Our Mission Statement

The circuit seeks to utilise its Mission Statement to encourage ways of working together towards the needs of others in our communities and across the world.

Our mission statement, based on the parable of the Sower (Matthew 13) is

To Plant Faith, Nurture Growth and Grow God’s Kingdom

As a Circuit we will endeavour to continue to support our mission statement by:

Once again because of the continuing difficulties over COVID, this year has proved challenging to all our churches both in regard to meeting together and financially.

However, we continue to nurture and grow our discipleship and remain open to tnew challenges in finding different ways of worship and learning together. In this regard, wh have this year, decided to begin holding circuit services on the 5[th] Sunday of the month in two of our Churches, so to encourage fellowship amongst God’s people and so grow stronger as a circuit.
