The activities of DACW (Drug and Alcohol Charities Wales) are to promote good health in Wales through advocating good practice amongst its members and promoting the rights of individuals with substance misuse issues. The charity tenders for pan-Wales opportunities and will undertake research and promote innovation on behalf of its members.
Objects: To Promote Good Health In Wales For The Public Benefit, Inparticular But Not Exclusively By:(a) Developing And Delivering Good Practice Amongst Memberswith Regard To Treatment Provision For People Affected Bysubstance Misuse Issues, In Performance Management Andin Workforce Development & Training;(b) Procurement, Tendering And Contract Management Of Pan-Wales Services On Behalf Of Its Members;(c) Working With And Promoting The Rights Of Individuals Withsubstance Misuse Issues And To Ensure An Active Andeffective Service User Involvement In Planning And Indelivering Services;(d) Undertaking And Promoting Research And Publishing Theuseful Results Of Such Research; And(e) By Promoting Innovation For The Benefit Of Those Withsubstance Misuse Issues.
