Charity Governance
Members of the Church are accepted in line with the Church Constitution (March 2009). Church meetings occur at least 4 times per year. In line with the Constitution the members appoint Trustees who together with the Ministers are responsible for the all financial, legal aspects and the day to day running of the church.
Objectives and activities
The principal purpose of the Church is the advancement of the Christian faith according to the principles of the Baptist denomination. The church also supports missionary efforts in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world.
Our principal activities are described in the Secretary’s report below. The church has read the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit, and is satisfied that its activities clearly demonstrate that the charity is providing a benefit to the public.

Bank Balances Current Account: £26,486.62 Savings Account: £35,545.42
Although Anderson spent more money than it received, spending was in areas of high importance and our bank balance remains healthy.
The current year would continue to bring challenges but Trust in God.
It is planned that regular collections are held in order to help cover the costs of any events we hold. Those using Parking Permits continue to offer a contribution towards this cost.
There are monthly reviews of our finances within Deacons Meetings, ensuring they are kept informed of any changes in funds to be brought to the Church Meetings. Members could then look at ways of increasing giving from the fellowship or reduce spending.
We pray for continued careful investment with a Christian focus.
Secretary’s report for the March 2023 AGM
Currently the position of Secretary is vacant. Therefore, this report is written jointly by the Ministers.
Whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus , giving thanks to God the Father through him. (Col 3.17)
After 23 years of ministry at Anderson this will be my last AGM report with opportunity to reflect back on the way God has led us and the ways we have been called to serve.
The words of the hymn “Great is Thy Faithfulness – Morning by morning new mercies I see” is for us a wonderful reminder of the ways we have witnessed Gods faithfulness to us as a community.
There have been changes and challenges along the way but through it all we have sensed God’s presence and God’s leading.

So, in facing an unknown future we say God walks with us and God will lead us through.
