We are a Wesleyan Reform Union church engaged in promoting the gospel to residents of the village of Bozeat and the surrounding area, through regular public worship, activites and events.

The advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Confession of Faith primarily, but not exclusively, by extending God's love and encouraging closer fellowship among the Churches of the Union, to

promote unity of action in ways which best serve the Lord Jesus Christ and to encourage and equip churches in mission and discipleship in their local communities; and such other charitable purposes, as shall, in the opinion of the charity trustees, put into practice the Christian faith in accordance with the Confession of Faith, including but not limited to: the governing document prevention and relief of need, hardship and sickness; the advancement of eduction; and the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life. The provison of weekly services on Sundays which are open to all. The provision of a welcoming meeting space for local groups and organisations. The provision of a weekly coffee morning for social cohesion. The provision of a weekly social group for those caring for family members.

The provision of a monthly social gathering especially for men. The provision of a venue for family celebrations and events. The provision of a welcoming space for other Christian groups and organisations to meet away from their home church.

• The provision of a weekly service on Sundays.

• The provision of weekly or monthly activities for the benefit of the residents of Bozeat and the surrounding area. Coffee Morning, Time4You, MOB.

• Joining with other village churches to provide annual activities or events. Harvest Supper, Passover Meal.

• The occasional provision of social activities or events such as outings, meals etc.

• Occasional fundraising events for other organisations such as the Wesleyan Reform Union etc.

• The provision of a day trip by coach to the seaside, available to all comers.

• The church has a policy of making donations to other organisations each year of at least 10% of the annual income.

• The church aims to invest excess funds in a safe way in order to receive interest but not risk funds.

Section D Achievements and performance

Numbers of regular attenders at church services have increased over the year.

We were able to send 6 delegates to the annual Wesleyan Reform Union conference in Swanwick, and this was the largest number from a single church.

We sent almost £4000 in donations to other charities, organisations and groups which exceeded our tithe amount for the year.

Members are encouraged to support the Wesleyan Reform Union's annual project, which this year was for Hope for Children, Latvia.

We welcomed the President of the Wesleyan Reform Union to a service in the church.

The Trustees have agreed to make some structural changes to the buildings in order to provide better disabled access, privacy for those using the disabled toilet facilities and a modern, and more practical kitchen, we are hoping that this work will be completed in 2026.

Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

• In 2025 the church achieved the following: -

• Donations to the value of £2842 were made to other organisations, which is more than the 10% required by our policy of annual giving.

• A group set up in 2024 to help local men with isolation [MOB] now meets on a monthly basis and numbers attending have exceeded expectation.

• A coach outing to Cromer in Norfolk was extended to local residents which provided an opportunity for many who would not be able to travel otherwise to enjoy a day at the seaside for minimal cost.

• The premises are used regularly by outside organisations and the church does not impose a charge for the hire, donations are accepted instead.

• The Trustees regularly consider the condition of the buildings and contents and take action to ensure the church, meeting room, kitchen and facilities are welcoming and in a good, clean condition.



The church pays the attendance costs for any member or associate who wishes to attend the annual conference of the Wesleyan Reform Union in order to retain a good connection with other WRU churches.

The church aims to keep no more funds than necessary to ensure that all expenses can be covered and planned projects have sufficient funds set aside.

The church mainly receives funds from the following: -

• Weekly giving in the offering box at services.

• Annual Gift Aid receipt.

• Donations received from external organisations who regularly use the premises.

• Interest received on the deposit account.

• Donations received in memory of the deceased.

• In 2025 the church spend the following: -

• almost £2200 on Ministry – expenses payments made to visiting preachers for Sunday worship.

• almost £10600 on Utilities – the cost of

  • gas/electricity/water to keep the building functional.

• £2842 in Donations to other organisations – fulfils the policy of donating 10% of the church's income.

• £865 on a coach trip to Cromer – provided an opportunity to engage with local residents and give them a day at the seaside.

• £1470 was spent on conference fees for members and associates who wished to attend.

Section F Other optional information

Although a relatively small fellowship, members are active within the community and our premises remain welcoming to all and are very well used. We connect with other local churches, including St Mary's, the parish church in Bozeat, and other Wesleyan Reform Union churches within the local area for services, events and prayer meetings.
