Objectives and activitie5 To provide religious education to Muslim children and prepare Islamic scholars, facilitate celebration of Islamic religious and cultural events, assist and promote orEanisations established with similar objectives, visit sitk at home and in hospitals and visit prisoners, provide wedding and funeral services, generally promote Islamic faith and values and promote religious tolerance and harmony. Achievements and performance In the trustees opinion charity performed satisfactorily to achieve its objectives. Financial review. In the opinion of the trustees, state of charity's affairs is satisfactory and it Is anticipated that same level of public sUPPOrt will continue in future. Statement of trustees, responsibilities Trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom AccountinE Standard5 (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practicel. Law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the trustee5 to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources of the charity for that year. In preparing these financial statement the trustees are required to.. O select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistentlv- O observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP,. O make judgement5 and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;

O state whether applicable UK Accounting Standards have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements,. and O prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will tontinue in operation. The trL¢Stees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the tinancial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the fi.nancial statements comply with the Charities Act 1993 and the Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 21X)8. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud.
