OBJECTIVES AND AcfivITIES
(l) To supwrt the mental. educational, spiritual, cultural. moral and physi¢al development, health and improvement of
young p￿3p]e under the age of 35 who were born, are connectrd to, work or live witbin Yorkshire so that thq can
d¢velop their full capacities and becom¢ respon￿¥ble membcrs of society Ivith in]proved con(btion5 of lif¢ and health.
(2) To be))efit such other exclusively charitable objectives and purposes &8 the charity may deterniiTre from lime to time.
(3} To support registered clwities in the achievernent of their charitable objeclives.
The prittciplc ethos of the charity is to rais¢ tnon¢y for charitable projects for young people in Yorksbire. giving pnority
to those who do not hav¢ signi1ii4Jii ft]ndraising capabilities. The essence of lh¢ charity is tr) acknowledg¢ and reward
achi¢vellLent by young people in YoTkshire whilst using that opportLmity as a foundation to raise money for th¢ sarrte
group.The Foundation, and tbTough its WULual awards, geeks not only to give fmancial grmts lo such benefickaries but
also lo rnise awareness of their cauKs through thedia attelltion aud supporting partners of the eharity.
Th¢ charity will benefit young people under th¢ age of 35 who can show sothe cxan4)le of their wnnection with th¢
YoTkshir¢ region whether by birtls pl￿e of living, work place or some other connectiou. The bencficiary is intended to
be a child or young person whos¢ life would bencfit from thc giving of a ￿ant in order they ¢8n become a well
rollnded adulL therefore the eligible range is tapped at 35. Tbe benefici￿leS may apply for a grant or Ihe Fouhdation
may have he￿d of the beueficiary through another souree. The b¢neficiaries are cottsidered on tILe weight of their caus¢
and whether it relateg t
the nental, educational, SPiTituaL ¢ll1tUr￿, moral aDd physiGII developmgnl health or improvement of young people.

charitable cause.
The trustees hav¢ appointed a Grdnts Committee to consider grant appli¢atioll8 made to the charity and to check wbeth¢T
thes¢ ￿ett its grant making policy and guidelines. Having considered appli¢ations made the Grants Committee mak¢s
recommendations to the tsYsttts as to the paythent of Grdnts. Such recomrnendations are then considered by the trustees
at their next meeting and as a rewlt they are ultimately responsible for deciding whicE grants should be p&Èd.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMAIYCF.
Significant Aclfvitles and ￿hl¢vementS agalnst objectives
The ain) of the charity is to raise full￿ in order to meet its charttable obje¢tives a5 set i>ut alx)ve and in th¢
circun)staDces ITS activiti&s mainly comprise of aTranging fundraising events. The more fill￿S the chaTity can r2ise from
fillidraising ¢vents 2nd functiODS the more i1￿1vidUal8, registered charities and other organisalions which f8ll within its
objectives will benefit.
The main activity of th¢ d)￿lty for Taising funds As its annual awards dinner. known as th¢ Yorkshire Young Achievers
Awards. The event geneTated a total of £48,692 (2024 £35,360) in the fornj of ticket sales and spx>nsotships. In
addition, various donations were received in the year totalling £65,258 (2024- £24,873).

A number of grsnts were made to ittstitutioDs and individuals totalling £30.368 (2024- £30,502) as detailed in note 7.

Reserves Polficy
The TTuslees aim to maintain free reserv¢s in unrestricted funds at a level which ￿ll4t¢S lo appToxirnately 12 months of
unrestricted charitable expendittue. The Tn]stees ¢ongider that this level will provide sufficient ￿lld$ to respond to
applications for grants and ensure that support and 8ov¢rnattce costs are covered.
The income of the ebwity bas been relatively consistent each year, as has the level of expenditure incurred in ord¢r to
generate that income. In the event that eitb¢r in¢om¢ or ¢xp¢llditure vuied S]￿lficantly￿ the Tn￿te¢S would review the
