Volunteers GENR8 meets its objettives through the extensive contribution of volunteer5 who are involved In all asperts of the charivs operations. The charity is gratefijl for the commitment of over 75 volunteers during the past year. Reserves Pollcy The charity keeps enough reserve for the cost of winding up the charity which will cover the three month notice perlod for employees and other associated costs. The running costs of the charity for four month5 amounts to approximately £25.000 and at the year end at 31 March 2024 the assets of the charity exceeded this amount. The amount held in reser¥es Is also to cover plans for potential new employees. Rlsk assessment The trustees have considered the key operational, financial, and strateglc rlsks that have a bearing on the charlty. Sultable management information is available to the trustees on a regular basis to monitor these risks, and allow any mitigating action to be taken to address them. Ev•nts The following are the activities and events dellvered over the past year: Assembly Pr?Mntstlons: Teams vlsf(ed wlth assembly presentations for Summer 2023 Iwe Can Make a Olfferencel, Christmas 2023 {Christmas Hopel and Easter 2024 {A New Startl. Each tour around 100 schools were vlsrted by 4 teams acr055 Cambrid8eshire and North Herts, wlth one team In West Norfolk loinln8 for the Easter and Chrfstmas tours. lThsplre Prayer Spaces: Insplre Prayerspaces daystook place in seven schools over the year. For six of them, it was their first experience of a prayer space- a calm, quiet and reflective space the seeks to encourage a connertion with God. We also took Inspire Prayer Spaces to two Make Lunch Royston sessions in February and October half term holiday5. Pemianent Prayer & Refiectlve Spaces: We resource thirteen primary schools with materials1res0ur￿S for our Permanent Prayer Spaces initiative. Partnering with volunteers in local churches to support the schools in putting up displays and interacting with the space. IVS Your Move Transttlon Work5hop5 and Prayer Bags: We visited 14 schools with 11 young people leading this transition workshop in July 2023. We were able to partner with

Alongside the IV5 Your Move books, prayer bags containing ideas and items to encourage Year 6 students to pray or reflect about their move to secondary school were delivered to 500 students. Cool chol￿5. We ran 28 of these 2.5-hour workshops In September 2023 and January 2024 for Year 6 students with the aim of helping them make positive life choices. Xcellr8: Our Xcellr8 February 2024 weekend was a two day event with 57 chlldren laged 8- 11} in attendance. Our theme was Particip8 and looked at how we all join in, as individuals, to the big team event called Chri5tianlty! Growln8 Young Dlsdples: Partnering with Eastern URC Synod, this one day event for youn8 people in Years 6-8, happened in November 2023. Eight children participated in the day, looking at how we are all disciples of Jesus, following his example and learning from him. Churche5: We were able to speak at several churches who support us flnancially, on Sunday mornings over the year. Sharing the work we do wlth schools and the messages given to the children through all our initiatives. These events were a mixture of whole church services, leading prayers. prayer meetin8s and outreach events. Durlng the yearwe kept supporters informed of our work through ourtemily prayer and newsletters and our Elev8 prayer emails as well as specific mailln8S to our financial 5UPPOrters, Internally we continued wbth a mlxture of onllne and In-person staff meetlngs as well as opportunities for volunteers to 8ather together. People We currently have four paid team members: Full-time director Part-tlme administrator and booklngs co-ordlnator Part-time communications co-ordinator Part-tlme bookkeeper The staff team Ss supported by several slgnfflcant volunteer roles, most notably the trustees, assembly team leaders. booking co-ordinators and individuals who support GenR8 in creative and administrative tasks.
